Run: 771 Hare: Billy NoHair Venue: Broga Co-Hares: Abraham, Rattail Raymond

Some Icings Some Icings The virgin hare - No Hair About 40 members and guests turned up on this hot afternoon to climb the hills at Broga. The trail was through the well upkept viewing point near the temple and into the rubber. The papers just played around here and back through the in-trail.

Most were out within the hour wwith comments of "short run". It also appeared that one check down in the ravine was missed.

There were 7 first timer guests who said that, though they enjoyed the run, they felt it was shorter than the 'wireless mike' they were holding. Some of them also wanted to try out the 'ICE'

NoHair, being a virgin hare, was excused for the 'short run' but not the two experienced co-hares.

The circle was kept busy with singing led by SongLau and more beers while awaiting for the go-ahead from the restaurant for the On On.

Run: 770 Occassion: Vasakhi Run Venue: Hulu Langat Beer Garden SubCons: ...

About 40 hashiers turned up for this festive celebration run. Run site was the parking lot in front of Fishing Pond Restaurant (Hulu Langat Beer Garden).

Run started with the road climb infront of the restaurant. 1st check at a cross road at the end of the tar road at the top. A falsie at the front road and the check was broken on the left.

From then on the run went up and down a few hills. It was a good run with nice scenary but the home run from the sawmill along the main road to the run site spoiled some of the fun.. As GM said, 15% should be deducted from the score.

1st runner was out at 7.15 p.m. Plenty of food at the runsite (wildboar curry, chickenfeet, fried mee/meehoon, nasi lemak, boiled eggs etc ) but no "Bayee" traditional food for Vasakhi.

It started to rain before the circle which startd late and prolonged till 10.30 p.m. before adjourning to the restaurant for a 4 tables affair. (RG)

Olympic Torch Relay

Olympic Logo Cockscrew Chin of the Kacang HHH was elated when he heard that Beijing had won the right to host the 2008 Summer Olympics.

When it was announced that the Torch Relay would past through Malaysia, he was overjoyed. Immediately Cockscrew shot out a letter to the Torch Relay organisers telling them about the Hash House Harriers and that he, being a long time hashman, be given the opportunity to partake in the relay.

When there was no reply, he wrote another letter saying that if he is not allowed to participate in the relay, he will personnaly instigate and organise the protests during the relay on 21/04/2008.

The organisers in China, not wanting to disappointment Cockscrew, gave a reply.

Their reply ... (click On On below to read)

Run: 769 Hare: King Kong Venue: Kesuma Lakes SubCons: Song Lau and ...

crossing a shiggy Like the past few weeks, there was heavy rain in many parts of the Klang Valley that evening. Maybe it was the pull of the hare or it was the runsite and the no-hill trails around Kesuma Lakes.

Whatever it was and unlike the past few runs, about 40 members and guests made it in time for the run.

NoHair holding up the barbed wire fence for the runnersIt was a runners trail all on flat ground with about 4 well placed checks. Karu SCBed from the first check to the last check and thereby breaking it for the FROP.

Cutting across the vegetable patch

The FRB was out in 50mins. Peter and Hennessy who went in after most earlier runners were out, completed the run in about the same time.

ON On onsite. Hard boiled eggs, chee cheong fun, nasi lemak and fish fried by the hare on site were the starters.

Run: 768 Hare: "Mr World" Stanley Venue: Gasing Hill Co-hare: Amelia

About 20 members went in for the run. The whole trail was on well trod joggers tracks.

There were supposedly 3 checks. The 1st check was just before the stream on the way down and it was broken on the a trail across the stream. This led right up to the viewing tower and across to the other side. A few more ups and downs on some well beaten trails and then out through the hanging bridge to the bungalows site.

Back into the jungle near the playground for last climb which had some semblance of a true hashers trail as it was a least used trail. FRB was out within the hour and Bandit was out last at 7.25pm.

It was later heard that the 1st check should have been broken on the right which then would have gone up to the temple/watertank track and down.

On On onsite - Hassan catering.

Run: 767 Hare: Pengsan Venue: Bukit Idaman Selayang Co-hare: Fong (Batu HHH)

There was a torrential downpour at about 5.45pm at Selayang resulting in roads turning into streams. It was a new runsite for HLH4. The rain stopped by 6pm and about 14 members went in for run.

The paper led through the housing estate, up the rentice and out onto tarmac road leading to some condos on the hill slope. From the road the papers then swung right and up into the jungle for the 1st small climb.

A short down and then the gruelling climb up to an height of about 320 metres which was about the mid point of the trail. The papers then led down and up again. The trail was slippery and tricky.

The next down was up to a ledge from where the papers led left for a long long run along the terrace. Going along a laterite road, the papers turned right into the jungle for the short cross over to another housing estate. From here it was another long long run on tarmac road to home.

Dipstick was out in about one and a half hours with Kiki breathing down his neck. Warrenti and Bandit were out last at about 8.15pm.

With a small crowd but double the number of the blood sucking bastards, the ceremony was kept short and then adjourned to a restaurant nearby for the On On.
