Rehashed 20110402 No Hair

Run: 924 Hare: Billy No Hair Venue: Emville Cohares: Yee Mai, ...

The Hare No Hair

It was my run after the hula-balu in the company that led to my resignation. I did not change the run site except that we parked in front of the guard house instead.

Email and I started to set the run at 3:25pm under the hot and blaring sun. We started on the offtrack towards the cow sheds and till that junction and up the immediate hill that the 1st check was laid, it was on the right that goes up the cleared hilltop that we could see the highway.

There the 2nd check was headed towards south but another back check downhill to head east into the opposite OP. Cutting through the hill and south-east towards the high tension pylon a 3rd check with falsie towards the east on the edge of OP. We then headed north in to more OP hills, the first gradient climb, zig-zag offtracks, another climb up the hill’s peak to set 4th check and a falsie.

The trail was on the right downhill track till we reached the end of the OP tracks, we used the edge’s hill climb back up towards the back side of that same hill and cutting cross some bushes, we got back to the OP. We came to the multi-junctions and took north to head towards the back of the telco and water tank towers. We took round the OP offtrack and ‘jumped’ track to the next OP that was abandoned and a steep climb towards the towers.

The 5th check was on the left of the hill and we took the right to climb the clearcuts from behind and came to the ridge for the home trail pass the telco towers, orchards and the organic farm. We were back we started at 5:10pm to set the medium run and the ‘troops started to gather’.

Front runners took only 1hr10mins while the last came in before 7:45pm.

Rehashed 20100424 Vaisakhi Run

Run: 875 Occassion: Vaisakhi Venue: Emville Resort SubCons: ...

"Usual day with me Mrs ready! We reached the run site a little early and she saw no other than herself, the only lady around! We were on the start of the run that we saw some other ladies in MPV driving in.

Monster was searching around the clubhouse for the paper as he couldn’t find any on the downhill road but was finally pointed out to him the paper was just by the side. The pack ran out from the clubhouse and out towards the tunnels.

The 1st check was waiting and was broken just when the middle pack arrived at the check. Running in the OP hills for a short while before the front runners hit the 2nd check just by the highway and the middle pack broke it running towards the lakes.

There was a bet going on during the run as Monster and Nokia were out running each other, losing would mean lots of bottles of premium whisky!. The 3rd check was just after the lakes on a rubber hill, as some were searching on the opposite trail, Nokia hit the OnPaper and blazed the trail.

The pack was led into some Sahara-like landscape with small hilly trails. The 4th check was just half way on the barren hill. Abraham went down what seemed like a path, Kelam Kabut went round the back of the hill and Dipstick went straight up. Abraham didn’t find any paper and bashed straight through to meet the runners later.

Dipstick hit paper in the ‘mid-rift’ and called. Kelam Kabut hit the OnPaper at the back of the hill while Song Lau was joining paper on the shortest route. The pack was on top of the hill with the USIM fencing that demarcate their land and with that, the pack followed the fence downhill with the lalang cutting and poking the arms and legs.

The paper then led the pack through more lalang hills leaving the middle pack panting on the climbs. The runners was half way up the last lalang hill when Khoo and Moon was down on the in trail yelling, Kelam Kabut was kind enough to go down on the other side to lead the 2 towards the out trail.

After passing the USIM water reservoir tank, the pack was led back into some bushy rubber hills with a little zig-zag trails to end up to some cleared construction land. Further ahead were some swampy crossings before reaching the main sub station and on the OP estate roads to cross back the tunnels and back to run site.

FROP 1hr30mins, middle pack with YM – 20mins later, while the last was Short Circuit who went in late came out close to 8:15pm."

(We had no choice BUT to steal this narration from our usual web contributor who could be sulking due to short Payment)

Update 30/04/2010

No, he was not sulking, he just "busy with Email", he sent us the following:

"Hi. Sorry for letting you pick up the scribe from my blog."

KikiLala - supposed to be the lead-hare and only putting up the hash signs at 6:30
Viagra - the pack complained of not enough paper and so does Viagra (boxes of run papers stocked at his shop!)
Dipstick - not paying attention and commented a repeated comment from the box
Email - left her goalkeeper gloves lying around
Long John Silver - gnikcuf those who just come for the drink
Gigi Putih - 'tarak tau'
No Hair - missing in action
Maria - tarak mali
Monster & Nokia - betting who finish the run on paper first
??Walace? - no hash t-shirt
Khoo - complaining a borrowed t-shirt that he got from Song Lau
OnTheWay - branded T-shirt is much better to wear than a hash tee.

Rehashed 20100306 Kumar PJK

Run: 868 Virgin Hare: Kumar PJK Venue: Emville Resort Cohares: Thomas & Friends

The hare Kumar PJK It has been a number of years since HLH4 last visited this area. The drive from Kajang was not that far though some have deemed it ‘too far’ but actually some took about 30mins from KL to reach here!

The turnout looked small at 5:30pm and just as the run started, some drove in. The pack built up from a mere less than 10 to about 20+ before the run finished. A long warm up walk towards the OP from the clubhouse, which the hare has some privilege to use.

The first check was to entice and tempt the runners to go through the tunnel but some were much more cunning than the hare. A back check call by the edges of the OP had the back walkers caught up. After a winding climb up hills in the OP, the pack was given an easy forward uphill check but the ‘too clevers’ went otherwise.

The pack reached the hilltop clearcuts for some nice views and strong breeze before running downhill and back up again in the OP to meet the 3rd check which was a forward but the ‘too clevers’ were around to run and hit the in trail paper. Some from the pack hit the correct paper and chased forward to the OnCalls and connected to the intended trail.

Climbing up a bigger hill before on the home trail generated some sweat and the run on the home trail produced more. I (No Hair) was doing the ‘run and wait’ as me Mrs was the only ‘flower’ around as the rest of the ‘flowers’ were doing what ‘flowers’ do best – avoid new running areas!.

At last when we were on the home trail, it was near the intrail, that me Mrs got some company from the back walkers that I could stretch me legs for about 2km. It was mentioned that the FROP was in before the hour (58mins) and the last before it grew dark.

Iced:
Stand-in Bard ABC - answering phone after calling circle to order next by the box;
PJK - not letting his guest wear one of his hash shirts;
Nokia - standing director;
NoHair - forgot to ice PJK for the less than an hour run;
Short Circuit - unable to name 5 hashers;
On the Way - unable to name 5 hashers;
PJK - unable to name 5 hashers;
Joachim - named more than 5 hashers so not iced;
HongKong Bai - complaining haircuts in Malaysia costly but spends 75 on dog's hair cut;
Bulldozer - KPC;
Beerman - using ang pow money for 'investment';
LongJohnSilver - too good to be here;
Dipstick - holding Big Mike on the right.

OnOn was on site with Bukit Unggul Catering Service, Chivas donated by Nokia for no less than one per month for 3 months!
