Run: 877 Hare: Karu Venue: Beranang Industrial Cohare: a non-hashing South Indian expat
It was announced last week that Beranang Industrail estate was the runsite for Karu's run. Karu even said "my usual runsite, traffic light turn right".Karu had put up a very clear HLH4 sign at the traffic lights and another one at the runsite.
Yet about 7 cars and the beerwagon went to the "they anounced our Committee's Run runsite". Though there were no HLH4 signs directing them there, they parked. Thinking it to be a small turnout, they started the run on hash trail papers they saw.
Meanwhile about 10 cars went further and saw the HLH4 sign for the right turn to the runsite. They too started the run.
The two groups met somewhere along the trail. The hashers from the incorrect runsite doing a somewhat reverse run ended at the correct runsite. But had to grudgingly go back to retrieve their cars not knowing that King Kong was arranging to bring the cars.
Lester ABC from correct runsite came out about 7.05pm. On On onsite with Karu's specialty of mutton and chicken to go spice up the chapati, thosai and spring hoppers.
No Hair has this to report;
"We drove to the run site to find it empty and thought that we were early and not many were coming for the run, furthermore there were no hash signs to the run site! So, there were only about 6 cars around and the 10 of us when we started the run on paper to the usual run in trail.
Just as we were about 5mins on the trail, the paper just stopped and we were looking for papers thinking that the hare didn’t know how to set the run! We finally ‘broke’ it and ran across an open field towards the rubber tree hills.
Mobile phone then rang and we were told that we were on the reverse! We were too far in to turn around and were joined by some ‘late comers’ to continue doing it reverse. The second ‘check’ we had was broken in a jiffy too and further run into the rubber tree hills to meet the front pack on the right trail.
Some confusion of directions was exchanged among some but we didn’t take much notice about it and followed paper. Passing the last pack, we kept running and soon came out to some village road that we ended running on a falsie that they didn’t pick the paper! Back tracking and followed the ‘turnbackers’ we hit the trail back towards the real run site.
From there some had done some car jockey duties while some of us ran all the way back towards the wrong run site to complete the run in reverse and pick up our cars, a little over 7pm.
I had a good reverse run while some had the good run, some just finished ‘A to B’ while some just had fun!"

(More than half of our members and friends who regularly turn up for our runs will be at the Pan Indo 2010 at Lombok. They will, among others, be promoting our forth coming celebration Run 888. So smaller than usual turnout is expected to come and climb the Apek hill, be early)

Rehashed 20100102 Committee Run
Run: 859 Occassion: Cum-mittee Run Venue: Beranang Industrial Estate Hares: Song Lau, Bulldozer, No Hair
No hair went in to assist Song Lau and Bulldozer to set the run. Song Lau and Bulldozer took the lead with usual Intrail path and we turned right at the high tension poles.
Going on the small hill and down, we crossed the lake to climb another small hill. after going down, we reached a laterite road and followed the right side for less than 400m.
We used a left side bushy path to get on to a higher hill and later going up and down on another hill. We reached back to the oil palm estate’s offtrack to head south and then on the east with a hill climb to another offtrack to head as home trail.
While laying the home trail, we hid behind the bushes and looked at the Intrail as the run started. We enjoyed watching the ‘antiques’ as the pack crossed the lake with many funny scenes.
Run stories: 3rd check was hard and some were encouraged to turn back by Dipstick who led them at around 6:50pm from the 'jungle'; The front runners carried on and found the OnPaper but the turnbackers were too far already.
A small pack somehow or rather skipped on the trail from 3rd check to the 4th by doing their 'thing'. The 4th and 5th checks were broken with only a few runners making it. Chickadee sensed some pain on his ankle and went his own way and called for rescue, to be picked up on the main road.
FROP 1hr40mins. Cha Cha got back last at about 9:30pm via the main road as he was very ‘familiar’ with the area.
New Year wishes were addressed during the circle.
Iced:
Ular - KPC;
Bulldozer - insulted the box;
JPS + Silent Dragon - started beer before the 1st runner;
Rat Tail - the 'senior' who drank the most;
Karu - the 'junior' who drank the most;
Henny - the lady who drank the most;
Pengsan - drank the least when wife's around;
Beerman presented the drinking tally;
Kelam Kabut + Abraham - forgot to mark out;
Maria - 'ghost' member;
Dipstick - a left hander whot held Big Mike on the right.

Next Run: No 860 Date: 09/01/2010 Virgin Hare: Joachim Venue: Eco Village Hulu Langat
(Set trip meter at 9th mile police station. Travel along Jalan Hulu Langat and head towards Pangsoon. At trip meter 20.5km, or just after the picnic area where many vehicles are seen parked alongside the road, turn left and go up the slight gradient. If you reach Pangsoon (TNB), you would have overshot.)

Run: 798 Hare: Karu Venue: Beranang Industrial Estate Co-hares: ...
About 30 members turned up for the run.
The run started at the usual in trail near the road next to the factory. Someone commented that this run looked like an anniversary of the hare's last run here which could mean the same trail.
True enough the trial took us through some residential areas and into the oil palm estate. The trial then went up a small hill and out to the sweet potato farm. From there, a long road run in the industrial area back to the run site.
A difference from the last run in this area was the absence of any talk of seeing a "python" on the trail.
On on onsite with Karu's home cooked food of Putumayan, chapati, curry chicken and wild boar.
As both on-sec and GM were not around, our 1st adviser Song Lau took the box with a new tool of office which was flown in from the Philippines by our GM. This new tool though shorter than the usual one which was carved by Samerican, was very much bigger in size.
After the circle, members had the opportunity to view some pix of the 11th Philippines Nash Hash courtesy of Tsunami with her notebook. As the weekly beer ration ran out fast, a triple on was called to Ah Wai shop. (scribed by Blood donor)

Hare: Karu Venue: Beranang
About 30 members turned up. The trail was mainly on flats with good running paths through oil palm, rubber and a potato farm but hampered by missing, wet and torn paper. Apparently the hare, co-hared by a foreigner, laid the trail the previous evening. The showers the day before and earlier in the afternoon caused the poor paper trail.
An interesting point was the sighting of a 'python' half way up the sole 2 minute climb of the run. With all due respect to the 'python', some members made a detour while the others braved the short climb. All were out by 7.20pm.

The 'Python' on ...
... the trail
The head and tail of this 'Python' was not seen. The 'python' also did not move an inch even when Cha Cha poked it with a stick. The 'python' was not petrified but some members certainly were.
