Rehashed 20130105 Bruise Lee

Run: 1016 Hare: Bruise Lee Venue: Sg Jelok Cohares: Lester ABC

The hare had appointed LesterABC and Cowlin as Live-contractors for this runsite, well known to Lester.

OnOn was called at at 6:00 pm and the crowd went in the usual trail uphill to the right. Soon paper was found leading to the right into a small trail, which soon ended in the first check. The front runners smelled that it should be a back-check and quickly turned around to move further up the trail leading to the Indonesian houses.

Paper was leading to the left, slowing down everyone, as the steep hill made almost everyone to stop once a while to catch his breath.

Reaching the hut another check was found, which took quite a while to break. After 10 minutes the check was broken further up the hill, making a loop around the hill until a third check confused the front runners.

On call was finally heard on the left and after a while the paper led the hashers downhill through slippery grass through the orchard.

Coming down at the stream the hashers knew it was the usual home trail, but another check has been put there. It was broken by some brave front runners, followed a bit reluctantly by a handful of hashers, where many other members smelled the beer already and went back the usual path. Not expected otherwise Long John showed his stamina continuing on paper and make the run up to his standard

On call was heard across the stream on the opposite hill, another breathtaking exercise with a check at the top..

Quickly broken to the left the trail went down the gravel road, crossing a small stream, went further towards another workers housing and further uphill to the right, where it finally looped down towards the fishpond.

From there it was a easy cool-down trot back to the runsite.

First runner out on paper was Dipstick in about 1h15min, last one was Cockpain, who must have got lost somewhere on the last stretch of the run.

During the circle announcements was made about the club going to Medan in April, some number of new boots were introduced and Silent Dragon reminded to pay outstanding subs by presenting his huge spray can full of red paint.

OnOn onsite with plenty of good food

Rehashed 20110827 BruiseLee

Run: 945 Hare: Bruise Lee Venue: Sg Jelok Cohares: Lester ABC

Runsite at Sg Jelok (again), roped-in Co-hare, Lester ABC (again), a combination that invariably means a 'Live Hare" run. (Not that HLH4's runs are dead hare runs, it just depends on the time the hare sets off to lay the trail).

The hare, Bruise, has been running with HLH4 since its formation, till he felt it necessary to leave, to polish up on his English (and rejoined after getting his 'foreign' accent), is a runner, coming out usually as a FRB. But these days after rejoining, with age and the 'foreign accent' taking its toll, he just completes the run to savour the golden piss.

Bruise knew he would not be able to keep up with his co-hare. so he did the next best thing a hasher does after the a run (no, not screwing something or someone up, but the other part), before setting his run. This had the co-hare worried, if he was required to help set the run or help bring the hare out safely.

Anyway, the hares took the right at the first fork and went up the hill similar to the earlier run here. But this time the first check was not a back check, as the trail continued up forward uphill. At the hut, the papers went straight up and right a back check. Here, three seasoned hashers tried to cut across, so to say, on hearing the On call, but in doing so, came face to face with the hares. Long John, Dipstick and Kiki (a word which means 'Pussy' to a Filipina) having 'caught' the hare, so to speak, hit home straight a way and did not complete the run.

This left Kelam Kabut and gang to continue the chase, climbing a couple more hills, and allowing CoCk Pain to hit home 9.65 mins after the hare. Some back packers, led by Chicadee to assist the Pusher, found their own trail back home.

The back pack was out about 40 mins later.

On On onsite. Again, No TOOL of OFFICE. The Bald One took a break this weekend.

Rehashed 20100123 Bruise

Run: 862 Virgin (old) Hare: Bruise Lee Low Yat Foo Venue: Shooting Range Sg Jelok Cohare: Lester ABC

The hare Bruise Driving in to the runsite, in addition to some big HLH4 signs, there were also signs of Kajang H3. At the runsite, a sign at the back of the co-hare's car read, "HLH4 PARKING". Just 20 metres up, the Kajang H3 was runsited.

Small turnout Many of our members had gone for the Damansara H3' 25 Any Run do. At 6 pm, the 13 or so members waited a while for the other chapter to go in first before going in. The trail markers of both chapters led the hashers on the same path on the left.

The papers led on for the single file walk up on the concrete slabs. Reaching the hut at the durians, it led right across the stream and up and hit the right path to the first check.

It was a circular. "R U", "R U". "Checking". Then after some time when even the back pack had joined in the fray, "Kajang On Back, Kajang On Back". HLH4 stayed back to continue checking when in fact, No Wing had aready broken the back check some half a km away.

Abrahamn, Rat Tail and Blood Donor followed. At the 2nd check, No Wing was not attracted to another climb, so he turned back and Blood Donor followed. They met up with the HLH4 back pack.

Guest, Moon, enticed Khoo Kongsi to follow through on paper while the rest decided it was enough as it was already 7pm and it had started to rain. So only four completed this unofficial joint run. The FROP was out around 7.45pm with Khoo and partner coming out about half an hour later.

On On onsite with Lester's chicken curry, lobster chicken feet and at least something for No Wing, taufu and vege.

(report by Bandit)
