Rehashed 20130810 On The Way

Run: 1047 Hare: On The Way Venue: Precint 20 Putrajaya Cohares:

A New runsite which took many, a long long way to reach. Some, though on the right track, nearly gave up when no signs were seen despite travelling a long distance. The weather was cool and the air, fresh.

The trail went along the road and then went uphill under canopy and to the bike trails. It appeared we were on a bike hash but minus the two wheelers. There were signs along the way that pointed to either difficult bike trails, through which our papers led, or the not so difficult trails. A group of our hashers decided on the easy trail, though they were going off paper in a new area. But then, the area was such that it would be extremely difficult to get lost in this place.

Within 40 mins, the FRB was out and the rest slowly trickled out. Nearly all who went in were soaked to their skin, as if they had a good sweat from a tough run. But the wet ground would tell that rain fell mid way through the run.

On On onsite with OnTheWay's home cooked food.

Rehashed 20120505 Chong Kok Man

Run: 981 Hare: Chong Kok Man Venue: Precinct 17 Putrajaya Cohares:

Arrived early and getting prepared for the run. A quite remarkable number of hashers have found their way and were chatting about previous Saturday’s main event in KL.

OnOn was called at 6.00 sharp and Dipstick led the FROP’s along the rocky ravine. Passin

g the concrete slope, up the road passing the bungalow under construction and finally reaching the rubber, where the first check was placed further up the hill.

MeowMeow and I followed the On-calls to the right and saved further climbing up as the paper was connected around the hill.

Bandit indeed, after finishing his “Clean”-up was so enthusiastic (or maybe the eyes still with tears, so he couldn’t see the connecting paper) that he stormed on all the way to the hilltop, dragging along with him a reluctant Blood Donor and some equally not so smart ones.

In the meantime the next check on the other side of the hill was quickly broken, leaving Dipstick and Guitarman suddenly behind as they were slowed down by the checking.

After some running the path lead down from the hill into some open space, where the next check could be found near a group of cattle. An excited Kiki Lala had to be pulled away from a cow and forced to follow the OnOn call.

Some easy running along the fence of a new construction to the next check placed at the left. It caused some confusion as the check was followed by a falsie (or vica versa), but Dipstick was right in going down the hill to the left, where he found the paper.

After that last check it was easy way along some Condos back to the beerwagon.

First runner out Dipstick in barely 45 min, all in all a short and easy run. SongLau swept the Eto and some guests out at about 8.20pm.

Rehashed 20120107 OnTheWay

Run: 964 Hare: On The Way Venue: Precinct 17 Putrajaya Cohare: CockPain

It was a new runsite somewhere in Presinct 17 in Putrajaya. The hare appeared to be caught up in the Christmas season as he made out the directional signs to the runsite in the season's colors. This made it a real hassle for nearly all members to get to the runsite in time. For it being 'HHL4' instead of  'HLH4', On The Way put the blame on Short Circuit.

The runsite car park was on the road itself at a dead end, so it was quite ample and secluded. The sparse in papers on open ground. though difficult to follow, led up the rocky outcrop towards Kg Limau Manis. Going up the tarred stretch, it soon hit the trees midway the hilltop where a check was soon broken.

Going around, the papers soon went under canopy for climb through thick rubber seedling growth. The climb leveled off for a short distance before going up again. Just before the top. it leveled off again for the walk through bushes and undergrowth on the terrace which went towards the right.

Where the terrace narrowed, the papers led down zig-zagging through the rubber seedlings. Reaching the bottom, the papers led right for the next climb which took the hashers up the same hill and than back down to hit the home trail.

FRB was just after the hour, while the rest came out a while later. There was a turn out of more 40 members at the On On with home cooked food by the hare.

The hare was reminded to collect back all his hash signs, including the one in this picture.

Run: 879 Hare: On The Way Venue: Putrajaya Riverside Cohares: ...

The hare Ramesh On The Way

We were there just in time and started together with the rest. Me Mrs was nervous as we did not know if the area would have leeches waiting to pounce.

A walk on the concrete bridge by the big water pipes got the pack heading into the rubber tree hills on the laterite road. The first check was heard and soon the OnCall was heard echoing from the left hill by Gigi Putih, only to find it a falsie. Guest SK was asked by JPS to go further on the laterite road and he broke it with ease.

Kelam Kabut was cutting through to get back on the trail while Dipstick was the new ‘pai kiok’ (walked with a limp). The pack was then treated to an uphill climb that got Pengsan nearly fainted, Gigi Putih showing his brimming teeth and Song Lau nearly ‘sang’. No Hair was brainless and seemed lost as Pengsan broke the second check just near the top of the climb.

The pack was treated to a nice view of Putrajaya and the 3rd check awaited for Pengsan to discover. KikiLala and SK were quick to break the check as some scent gave away the hide. Soon as we were at the foothills, we met KFC and U-I ‘doing the bayee way’ and ran back to reach the run site under 45mins.

Kelam Kabut did not have enough of sweat, so he went for another round that brought him back at 7:10pm. JPS was quick to comment when he came back earlier than Dipstick. The rest came back before sun down to witness the beautiful rainbow.

(again had to steal this narration from On Sex's diary)

Run: 848 Hare: Song Lau Venue: Putrajaya Riverside SubCons: JPS, Kilat, Maria, Heny Soo

The hare, song Lau About 30 members and guests turned up for this run. Due to a lack of signatures, some members ended up at Alamanda, some at Dengkil and some even as far as KLIA.

The joke of the night was that, the our German and Korean friends managed to find the run site while the local members lost their way.

The hare had outsourced the laying of the trail to Thomas and Friends (JPS, Henry Soo and Maria), so many expected a short run. The run started on the right toward the bridge and all the way on flats till a housing settlement. From here, the papers took the hashers up the hill all the way to the rocky area.

From the top, the trail led down through some plantations and towards another housing settlement. Here a pack of dogs welcomed the runners just before the cross over the river. The home stretch was along the river all the way home.

The FRB, Kelam Kabut was out in about 55 mins.

The generous hare rewarded all completing the run with a T-shirt

As it was Deepavali, and after some light refreshment and clean up, the whole gang proceeded to Matahari's place in Dengkil for the circle and On ON. Reaching Sami's place, the group noted some members who did not turn up for the run tucking away and downing the golden fluid.

Some Icings of the evening Circle was called to order by our Asst. On-sec, Lester ABC. No-wing Kim was iced for leaving his chair behind 2 weeks ago while his guest, Han, entertained the crowd with a Korean song.

After the sumptious ON ON of putumayan and nasi berani, followed with fried chicken wings (a No No for Kim) for supper, a small crowd gathered to try their luck during this festival celebration.

Run: 832 Virgin Hare: Siva Venue: Putrajaya SubCons: JPS, Guitarman, Mr Kilat

The Hare Siva A good number of our members had gone to celebrate KL Dalmatians' 5th Any Run at Damansara Perdana. So at On On there were only 15 members going in.

From the runsite beside the river, the papers led across the bridge and led left along the river for a good warm-up. The right turn into the canopy led to the first climb to the top and down the other side through the bamboo. It was quite tricky coming down the slope on dried bamboo leaves.

Crossing the ravine and going up again brought the FROP to the first check. This was quickly broken with the papers leading up to the top and down the other side. The trail then led across a short shiggy and another short climb to the lateratic bald top.

Going across the bald patch on top and down all the way. The couple of checks along the way were also quickly broken for the long home run along the river back to runsite.

The Front Running Bastards (FRB) were out in 45mins while Bandit swept himself out last about half an hour later.

On On onsite.

OnSec Guitarman took the box to OnDown the hare and the sub-cons after which Advisor Song Lau took over.

Run: 802 Hare: Ramesh 'On the Way' Venue: Putrajaya Co-hares: ...

the Hare - On the Way (Scribe report Cumms sooner than later)

Quite a number of our 'Batangs' got pulled to Broga for the celebration run by Kajang Batang H3. The usual 'quick to jump' for celebration runs 'lubangs' being 'Unmentionables' at any batang do had to just sulk. So only about 20 including some 4 guests turned up at the runsite at Putrajaya.

The weather was fine. The run started by crossing the bridge to the other side of the river and all the way going up a hill and down to a rocky open area. Before reaching the bottom a left turn took the hashiers to another hill. From the hill down to some kampong houses, crossed the river and back to the run site.

A few hashers lost their way, ending up in Alamanda & IOI and had to take a detour before turning back.

On on onsite and thanks to the hare for the T-shirt freebie. (scribed by Blood Donor)
