Run: 753 Hare: Munster Venue: Cheras Awana (Wangsa)
About 30 hashers managed to find their way in for the run despite most of the HLH4 signs being placed down side up. Some members had to make a few rounds around the housing area before reaching the runsite.
The runsite was located beside Sunway Cheras. The weather was fine despite the heavy showers in the Klang Valley earlier in the afternoon. The run started through a construction site and then all the way up a high mountain. The track was slippery and the trail took the runners/walkers up through five hills. The home trail was out through the parking site near the restaurant frequented by the trekkers going up into the jungle.
The first FRB was out at about 7.20 pm. Hennessy, Miaw Miaw and Rocky had to be taken out in Pengsan's truck at about 9.15 pm. There were some screams and shrieks from some of those who some blood flowing down their ankles/foot.
On On onsite with chapati and a big packet of nasi lemak.

Run: 752 Occassion: Christmas Run Venue: Sri Hanikoh
More than 40 members turned up to celebrate the festive season Hulu Langat Hash style.
The run from the fishing ponds was a long tiring climb up the one hill and a quick run down coming out on the other side of the fishing ponds. The FRB was out in 50 mins.
On On onsite and booze was free flow till the wee hours of the morning. New boot Billy came with a bottle of single malt of which he had to take a shot on ice.
Former hash whip, Andy Ang turned up for the run and was given the opportunity to impart some hash rules to the newbies and to ondown those who turned up but did not run. In turn, he was ondowned for breaking a basic rule of not signing out.
Next Run: No 753 Date: 22/12/2007 Hare: Munster Venue: Cheras Awana
(Note: The runsite is NOT at the usual place. Look out for HLH4 signs just after the Police/army depot where you may have to make a right turn)

Run: 751 Hare: Abraham Wong Venue: Bandar Tech Co-hares: Rattail Raymond, Big John Lee
About 35 members. The trail was a reverse of the Deepavali run right up to the foothill of the 'Whore'. A check was laid here, teasing and inviting the FRBs to climb to break.
This check was broken on the flats on the left, but the trail was not connected which led to the middle back spending some 15 mins to break it again. From there on, the papers led on a different route.
Tsunami nearly lost a shoe when she jumped over the shiggy and Peter Fong will remember jumping right into waist deep murky water. Night had fallen and it was dark but some good quality paper kept the back pack on the proper trail.
Civilisation was reached at the factories site where Big John Lee had runsited his last run. The home trail was a 3km long dusty road where the runners had the heavy traffic for company. The back pack was out at around 8.30pm. The hare rewarded everyone with this forehead sweatband.
On On onsite - pre packed santan rice with sambal and chicken. Membership application by Billy Kok and Emay approved.

Run: 750 Hare: Alice 'Bumble Bee' Chua Venue: Sg Long Sub-cons: Abraham and Roger
Only about 20-25 members turned up for this run at Sg Long, a place which seem to be competing for popularity with Bandar Tech.
The trail took the usual path on the right through the rubber reaching the 1st check rather quickly. This was broken way up the hill on the left. Climbing for some ten minutes brought the back pack to a clearing on the hilltop and the 2nd check. But where's the connecting trail? Not connected!!! Waranti and Farah went further up looking for paper while Charlie tried connecting the trail which was finally found on the right.
Another short climb and then looped down. The trail just played around this hill ending at the new housing construction site for a long dusty road home trail. The FRBs were out within the hour and the pack back led by Charlie out at around 7.30pm, somewhat at the same time as those who chickened out and had backtracked.
On On onsite with food prepared by the hare.

Run: 749 Hare: Yau 'Celup Singh' Venue: Gasing Hill
The run started at 5.30pm with about 20 going in. The whole run was on well trod joggers' trails. All were out in good time with guests Billy and wife completing the run in 1hr 50mins. Unlike the past few runs here, no one had to take a cab back to the runsite.
A point to note was that the hare was "caught" on the run (he was waiting to lay the home trail after the last runners had past through).
A short ceremony before most members present adjourned to join Munster celebrating his son's special occasion.

A good many guests turned up to joined HLH4 members in this run to celebrate the festival of lights. Beautiful weather. The run? Well, the Front Runner On Paper (FROP) came out at 10 to 8 and the back pack was out at half past 8. The co-hare, Rat Tail, said there were only 4 checks. The runners said the breaks were very far from the checks Many commented on the long walk through the thick undergrowth.

Run: 747 Hare: Song Lau Venue: Bandar Technology
Knowing it was Song Lau's run, a good many hashers wanted to come, but as the airfield at Bandar Tech was not large for the Airbus, a smaller group had to make do cumming in a 747.
As the pics uploaded to Picasa (see side bar for link - Update 16/11/07: Uploaded 12 more pic from Roger) would show, it was a great ON ON, cooked and dished out onsite.
Freebie - T-shirt
The members present also welcomed new boot Fong Siew who has been quite a regular guest for some time.
This is Philip, our new beerman whose ass will be on fire if the beers are not chilled enough for the thirsty hashers.

Run: 746 Hare: Rocky Venue: Sri Hanikoh Jalan Kacau
A small group of about 20 turned up for this run. There were some complains that the trail paper was just the opposite of the paper used for the previous week's run. The slight drizzle that fell in Sri Hanikoh that evening added to the dismay.
Some checks were not connected, some checks could not be connected as the stack of papers meant for the connection could not be separated. In some paths, the trial paper could not be seen/found.
About 5 FRBs were out by 7.25pm. About 6 were led out by a guest with the aid of a GPS set. The rest, including a first timer guest who had a whiff of a 'spirit' while on the run, got strayed and ended up at Taman Tasik Semenyih. They were then rescued at around 9.30pm. Even the GM found himself at this Taman, but he managed to walk/run home, arriving just before the rescued few.
On On onsite.
To ensure a reliable beerwagon, the committee was trying out a different supplier. So this week, the Tiger moved aside for the Long Cool Dane. Some will have to savour the Royal.

Run: 745 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bandar Technology
The previous few runs were in pouring rain. But this evening with the run starting earlier at 5.00pm, it was blazing hot. So the 20 odd members who turned up enjoyed this short, sweet and well set run.
A percularity of this run was the type of trail paper used. Either, the hare worked for many different Ah Loongs (loan sharks) or he had kept these cards for a rainy day. Or maybe it was to help members who were short of cash, a quick way to get money for the ang pau for Robert Beh's dinner. But how did the hare's son's calling/business card get mixed up in this? The co-hare mentioned that they used about 2400 of these cards.
However helpful the hare was, he certainly was not helpful towards the environment as these Ah Loongs' cards were of the glossy high quality type and therefore not easily bio-degradable. These cards will be there for a long time unless the foreigners working in the factories at Bandar Tech have find a use for them.
A simple two variety 'Dim Sum' prepared onsite by the hare. A short circle before invited members got ready for Robert Beh's function.
Some wedding dinner pics ...

Another rainy day, so a short run and the 'whore' avoided. But it was not enough for some, the FRBs followed the papers laid by the "once a month run" chapter and went half way up the hill.
All were out in good time. On On onsite, spicy food arranged by SongLau. The hare's buddy, our ex-OnSex, came back from Doha specially for this run and shared some cigars.

Run: 743 Hare: Nokia Venue: Bandar Technology
It was the 1st day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. Then there was the heavy rain that fell on most parts of the Klang Valley. On top of that, some of our hashing guzzlers preferred to have their beer at some far off place across the border this weekend.
Nevertheless, about 30 braved the wet and chilly evening to be at Bandar Tech. Bicycleman had volunteered to be the main-con for this run and he took along the infamous sub-con, the one who frequently screws up to set some long runs, like the last run at Gasing Hills, the same one who was supposed to be celebrating a festival on this day. Noticing this sub-con's car, a few did not want to go in for the run on the excuse that it was raining.
Maybe it was the rain that cooled the infamous sub-con's head, for the trail, though at overrun Bandar Tech, went through a refreshingly different route and avoided the 'Whore' to make it an enjoyable runners' run. The FRBs were out within the hour and the last two, both carrying hash horns, were out 30 mins later.
On On onsite catered by the Bicycleman.

(Note: The run on 27/10/2007 scheduled for at Gasing Hills, would most probably be run at Bandar Technology to enable invited members to attend Robert Beh's function. Further, HLH4 members who were invited ... and have confirmed attending are requested to be appropriately attired: same attire as the clowns in this picture, that is the Holes in CNY 2007 blue and the Poles in CNY 2007 red, minus the shorts, sarongs and slippers of course.)

Run: 742 Hare: Bastian Guitarman Venue: Sri Hanikoh Jalan Kacau
After the lonnnng run last week, there was a reprieve for the 35 or so members and guests who turned up for our OnSex's run. The trail started with a good warm-up walk/run around the fishing ponds up to the foothills.
From the ponds, the paper led into the jungle for the long long climb up to, probably 400 metres.
At three quarters of the way up, a little sign greeted the climbers. But no one wanted to heed it even if it was placed by Guitarman to slow down the FRBs.
And from the top, the trail led left for a steep, practically slide, climb down. After the short slide, it was a gentle slope down to the base of the hill for a good long home run.
The back pack was out around 7.30pm.
On On onsite, a new caterer delivered by lorry. Some pics (courtesy of JPS)...

Run: 741 Hare: Cheryl Venue: Gasing Hill PJ
About 55 members and guests turned up for this virgin hare's run. The paper led down the trail from the tower site. Just before reaching the stream, it branched right for the 1st strenuous climb up to the trail that leads from the Hindu temple.
From the water tank, the paper took the runners down the trail on the right. Just before reaching base, the trail swung left for the 2nd challenging climb to the rocky outcrop. Then along the laterite road and down left into the jungle. Half way down, the paper trail went left for a short climb up to the tar road that leads to the water tank. The trail then went down the tar road and cut across into the jungle.
A short pass through this jungle patch and out on the right to another less used tar road. Pass the cemetary, up through the squatter houses and into the jungle again. Up and down the joggers trails and out through the hanging bridge to the bungalows site. The trail then led along the tar road up to the children's playground and turned left into the jungle for the shortcut which also meant another tiring climb up to home.
The FRBs were out in 1 hr 50 mins while the last on paper was out at 8.30pm. About 9 1st timer guests who were guided by Roger were 'rescued' at a quarter past nine. The hare's sister who was in this group will surely remember this 3 hour birthday walk for a long long time.
