Run: 777 Hare: Fong Siew Venue: Mantin Town Padang Co-Hare: ...

Hare being ondowned by Onsex Petrol prices had just gone up 41% and the runsite was some distance away at sleepy hollow, Mantin. Yet, the pull a Triple Seven run brought more than 30 members and some 31 guests, mostly from Mambau HHH, to the Mantin town field. Run 777 by a HLH4 virgin hare.

Run started from the wood factory and all the way up the Hill. The last check at the top of the hill was a long back check which managed to keep all the Hashers together.

The home trail was a 3-4 km long road run bach to the runsite. William Kalam Kabut was FRB at 7.20p.m. A black T-shirt was the freebie by the Hare.

During the circle, Cock Pain was given the honour to present certificates to some of our members who conquered Mount Kinabalu last week. However, Cock Pain, though in the same group and who is usually a FROP during our runs, could not make it to peak of Mt Kinabalu.

The Rain that fell during the On On also dampened the mood of members to exercise their vocal chords at the Mobile Karaoke that was on site. (report by BloodDonor)

Run: 776 Hare: Tony Tan Venue: Bukit Angkat Co-Hare: Kiki

Blood Donor, in foreground and American Sam inching down the 1st dangerous slope About 30 members. The run basicaly played around behind the Jade Hills site. Two stretches of the trail, first going past the factory after the 1st check and the other coming down through the rentice, were considered dangerous due to the steep slope and loose pebbles.

The FRB was out in 1hr 10 mins and the back pack at 7.45pm.

The hare was ondowned before the circle as he had leave earlier. Randy Andy, who said he is back for good, took the box as Mistery Whip.

Run: 775 Hare: Peter Fong Venue: Bandar Tech SubCons: Abraham, RatTail

A good turnout with about 21 guests which included some 13 first timers. Many members including the beerman turning up at the regular site were disappointed to learn of the shift in the runsite which was near the golf club / water tank factory.

The run was initially a few small hill climbs at the rubber and dragon fruit sites before the papers led everyone up the 'Whore' for a good cumm for the first timers.

Michael, keeping to his word of not having for dinner the puppy he took home a few weeks ago, brought it along for its first training at hashing. But the reluctant and whinning mutt had to be dragged and/or carried most of the way.

From the 'Whore', the trail led down and out at the highway under construction near the usuall runsite. Most of the back pack were cursing as the home trail was about 4km on tarmac road back to the runsite.

The Front Running Bastard (FRB) was out in 1hr 20mins while the hare's favourite, Henessy, with the back pack, led the grumbling and moaning first timers out at about 8.30pm.

A minute of silence was observed at the circle for a regular guest, Titichoon of Cheras H4, who had gone to the "Happy Hashing Grounds" after an accident a few days earlier.

On On onsite with seafood porridge cooked by Cockpain. Guests and members were entertained by none other than Song Lau and Guitarman. Even the rain did not stop them. (reports by BloodDonor and Nohair)

Run: 774 Hare: Rachel Tsunami Venue: Bukit Besi SubCons: Munster, ...

Runsite About 35 members managed to come up the road leading to the Alam Damai Water tank despite complaints of poor signage and vague directions.

Most knew it was going to be a one hill trail on this very hot afternoon at this 1st time runsite for HLH4. So nearly everyone made it up the Iron Hill leaving just Bumble Bee to worry if her car will slip down the slope.

The 1st climb There wasn't the usuall leisurely walk warm up as the papers led immediately up the rocky outcrop from the runsite. The first check on the top was broken on the right which led around on a loop and then instead of going up to the tower, the trail went down and down.

At the foot of the hill, the papers led left before the cruelling climb right up to the tower. The slope was near 70 degrees at certain sections. The papers then led around the tower fencing to the other side.

Intersting shape on the trail From the tower, the trail then led down and up and down and passed through a shiggy before coming down at the construction site for the ONLY RUN of the run and which was about 100 metres on metal road. From the road it led up and back to the runsite.

FRBs Abrahim and Kiki were out in about 1hr 20 mins. Bandit limped out last with a bleeding knee at about 8pm.

On On onsite - bicycleman stuff.

Our HashFlash was not around, so NoHair sent in these pix.

Run: 773 Hare: Cock Pain Venue: Bukit Angkat Co-hare: ...

It was the weekend of the 7th Nash Hash event up at True Blue Langkawi which robbed this run of some attendance. Nevertheless, about 20 members turned up.

The run was mostly around the factories. One highlight of the run was that nearly all of the hashers on the trail were shouted at and chased away from a nearby housing estate by an angry lady. The hare was also shouted at and accused of laying a trail for robbers to enter the housing area.

And because of this, the trail had to take a longer loop bypassing the housing area near Balakong.

Another hightlight was that the trail paper through the rubber smallholding was picked up by some foreigners who tap there. They too did not want a trail for thieves to enter and steal their rubber. What irony.

As the foreigners were the ones who disconnected the trail, they had to lead the hashers out of the smallholding and onto the trail leading home. The FRB was out at about 8pm and the rest about half an hour later.

Run: 772 Hare: JPS Jit Venue: Bandar Tech SubCons: Kiki Lala, Guitarman

Hare JPS going in More than 40 members and guests turned up.

JPS, the scheduled hare, could not go in with the SubCons to lay the trail as he was still nursing a sole injury. But he did go in (pix on left) with the hashers and limped out after the 2nd check.

The papers led through a different route on the right, whereby skipping 'The Whore'. To compensate this, the SubCons made the runners climb another small hill three times.
The 1st hazzard keeping the runners together
The 5 well placed checks kept most runners together whilst the familiar trails allowed the short-cutters to keep up.

The FRB was out in 1 hr 10 mins and the last 30 mins later.

Car sticker - 'I LUV Hashing' freebie by the hare Everyone was given this (pix on left) so that they could tell the whole world what JPS loves.

On On onsite catered by Bulldozer. Pix of the circle uploaded to Picassa (see sidebar).

Run: 771 Hare: Billy NoHair Venue: Broga Co-Hares: Abraham, Rattail Raymond

Some Icings Some Icings The virgin hare - No Hair About 40 members and guests turned up on this hot afternoon to climb the hills at Broga. The trail was through the well upkept viewing point near the temple and into the rubber. The papers just played around here and back through the in-trail.

Most were out within the hour wwith comments of "short run". It also appeared that one check down in the ravine was missed.

There were 7 first timer guests who said that, though they enjoyed the run, they felt it was shorter than the 'wireless mike' they were holding. Some of them also wanted to try out the 'ICE'

NoHair, being a virgin hare, was excused for the 'short run' but not the two experienced co-hares.

The circle was kept busy with singing led by SongLau and more beers while awaiting for the go-ahead from the restaurant for the On On.

Run: 770 Occassion: Vasakhi Run Venue: Hulu Langat Beer Garden SubCons: ...

About 40 hashiers turned up for this festive celebration run. Run site was the parking lot in front of Fishing Pond Restaurant (Hulu Langat Beer Garden).

Run started with the road climb infront of the restaurant. 1st check at a cross road at the end of the tar road at the top. A falsie at the front road and the check was broken on the left.

From then on the run went up and down a few hills. It was a good run with nice scenary but the home run from the sawmill along the main road to the run site spoiled some of the fun.. As GM said, 15% should be deducted from the score.

1st runner was out at 7.15 p.m. Plenty of food at the runsite (wildboar curry, chickenfeet, fried mee/meehoon, nasi lemak, boiled eggs etc ) but no "Bayee" traditional food for Vasakhi.

It started to rain before the circle which startd late and prolonged till 10.30 p.m. before adjourning to the restaurant for a 4 tables affair. (RG)

Olympic Torch Relay

Olympic Logo Cockscrew Chin of the Kacang HHH was elated when he heard that Beijing had won the right to host the 2008 Summer Olympics.

When it was announced that the Torch Relay would past through Malaysia, he was overjoyed. Immediately Cockscrew shot out a letter to the Torch Relay organisers telling them about the Hash House Harriers and that he, being a long time hashman, be given the opportunity to partake in the relay.

When there was no reply, he wrote another letter saying that if he is not allowed to participate in the relay, he will personnaly instigate and organise the protests during the relay on 21/04/2008.

The organisers in China, not wanting to disappointment Cockscrew, gave a reply.

Run: 769 Hare: King Kong Venue: Kesuma Lakes SubCons: Song Lau and ...

crossing a shiggy Like the past few weeks, there was heavy rain in many parts of the Klang Valley that evening. Maybe it was the pull of the hare or it was the runsite and the no-hill trails around Kesuma Lakes.

Whatever it was and unlike the past few runs, about 40 members and guests made it in time for the run.

NoHair holding up the barbed wire fence for the runnersIt was a runners trail all on flat ground with about 4 well placed checks. Karu SCBed from the first check to the last check and thereby breaking it for the FROP.

The FRB was out in 50mins. Peter and Hennessy who went in after most earlier runners were out, completed the run in about the same time.

ON On onsite. Hard boiled eggs, chee cheong fun, nasi lemak and fish fried by the hare on site were the starters.

Run: 768 Hare: "Mr World" Stanley Venue: Gasing Hill Co-hare: Amelia

About 20 members went in for the run. The whole trail was on well trod joggers tracks.

There were supposedly 3 checks. The 1st check was just before the stream on the way down and it was broken on the a trail across the stream. This led right up to the viewing tower and across to the other side. A few more ups and downs on some well beaten trails and then out through the hanging bridge to the bungalows site.

Back into the jungle near the playground for last climb which had some semblance of a true hashers trail as it was a least used trail. FRB was out within the hour and Bandit was out last at 7.25pm.

It was later heard that the 1st check should have been broken on the right which then would have gone up to the temple/watertank track and down.

On On onsite - Hassan catering.

Run: 767 Hare: Pengsan Venue: Bukit Idaman Selayang Co-hare: Fong (Batu HHH)

There was a torrential downpour at about 5.45pm at Selayang resulting in roads turning into streams. It was a new runsite for HLH4. The rain stopped by 6pm and about 14 members went in for run.

The paper led through the housing estate, up the rentice and out onto tarmac road leading to some condos on the hill slope. From the road the papers then swung right and up into the jungle for the 1st small climb.

A short down and then the gruelling climb up to an height of about 320 metres which was about the mid point of the trail. The papers then led down and up again. The trail was slippery and tricky.

The next down was up to a ledge from where the papers led left for a long long run along the terrace. Going along a laterite road, the papers turned right into the jungle for the short cross over to another housing estate. From here it was another long long run on tarmac road to home.

Dipstick was out in about one and a half hours with Kiki breathing down his neck. Warrenti and Bandit were out last at about 8.15pm.

With a small crowd but double the number of the blood sucking bastards, the ceremony was kept short and then adjourned to a restaurant nearby for the On On.
