Rehashed 20131228 Amelia

Run: 1067 Hare: Amelia Big Spender Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: Roger ‘BloodDonor’ and Charly’s ‘Three Angels’

As I arrived at 5:40 for the last run of the year no signboard to be seen. Later I learned that Colin ‘Cowlin’ was supposed to put up the signboard, but was ‘a bit late’. (I think the run started already, before finally the signboard was placed….)

Despite the missing signboard a quite big crowd found the run site.

On-on was called and the trail led the tarmac, passing the condo towards the football field. Suddenly no more paper. The crowd pushed forward, followed on-on calls from Dipstick, knowing the area from previous runs. Too fast…obviously it was a back-check and now all had a hard time to find the connecting paper.

Finally after 10 minutes or so paper was found at bushes to the left of the open space, leading up the hill.

From there it was a constant climbing in serpentines. Soon Thomas disappeared to the left, trying his luck with his usual shortcut-method to avoid the climb. Don’t know what happened to him, myself slowly huffin’ and puffin’ up the hill and back downhill 30 minutes later I bumped into Thomas. Obviously his shortcut was not that short.

Checks were broken already by Dipstick. Following paper I reached the open area at the new factory buildings after less than an hour and enjoyed another 5 minutes easy running back to the run site.

At 7:05 CockPain finally saw the signboard, drove by to the run site and went in to run. Unfortunately he had to turn around after 20 minutes, as the first check was not connected and no signboard pointing into the direction of the connecting paper.

Plenty of tidbits, food, drinks, laughter and chit-chatting closed HLH4’s 2013 runs.

Run: 978 Hare: Amelia Big Spender Venue: Bukit Hatamas Cheras Cohares: Munster, Guat Ling

There was a only a small group of about 15 getting ready for the run in the slight drizzle. The trail up was the usual out trail and reaching the first fork under canopy, the papers led left and to the first check. This was broken at the back and to the right.

The papers led the hashers on well trodden paths right up to level six with a few more checks thrown in for good measure. The third took awhile to break.

The last check at level six was broken on the left to give that hashers a good long downward all the way to home, through the first check and the in-trail.

FRB was out at 7.05pm while the last, XL, who went in late and completed it on paper to reach home at about 7.45pm.

ABC 'boxed' the circle just when the drizzle stopped.

Bandit was given opportunity as mystery whip and he did not hold the Tool of Office in the right hand, he held it in the wrong hand which was the right hand.

KFC was also given the honor to go on the Box and ice anyone for no reason and she made sure Bandit had his bum cooled a second time.

On On onsite, Hassan's downline. Though there were about 30 at the On On, the balance food had to be ta paued.

Run: 900 Hare: Amelia Venue: Sri Kembangan SubCon: Munster

The Hare Amelia

No run reports in yet.

OnSex still missing in action celebrating other chapters' celebrations.

Amelia could not go in with a bandaged knee.

Guat Ling who also made it up to view the Mulu Pinnacles could only manage half the run. Oh forgot, she came late but still went in.

Heard about a nice park up the hill. No one wants to describe it.

Heard two new boots. No one is telling.

Still waiting for run report to come in. Aiya, why so slow?

Long John, Lester ABC, Bulldozer, Kilat and Short Circuit had to be cooled down! No one is talking.

What did Chickadee announce on the box? No seems to have heard.

Why does Hash Flash send pictures without captions? Tak mau cakap lebih.

Where was the On On? Amelia could not tell.

Have to publish this now, before next weeks's report comes in.

Run: 824 Hare: Amelia Venue: Opposite Taman Anggerik Perdana SubCons: Kiki Lala, Bulldozer

Hare Amelia More than 45 members turned up. Some were grumbling about the runsite being directly below the High Tension Power Lines with the beerwagon just next to the pylon.

Walking along the rentice The run started with a slow lazily walk along the rentice before hitting the oil palms and the first check. Being quite an 'open' area beneath the tall palms, the hashers were scattered all over the place with only about half the group truely on paper.

The second check led to the underpass to the other side of the Kajang-Semenyih Bypass. The trail was still on clear paths and terraces till the side of the Silk highway.

A short climb through some rubber came next. On going down to the open areas beside the highway brought the FROPS to another check which was broken further up. On reaching an old tarred road, the trail led left. As the back pack reached this road, they heard the OnOn calls on the right. So naturaly, they hit right and caught up with middle pack.

'Highway' lights by IceCooLeng From here the papers led along the fringe of the plantation and up to the quarry site. Another short climb entailed which led to check on the hilltop. This took about 20-30 minutes to break up forward. From then on the trail winded down through the oil palm back through the underpass and back to runsite all on the quarry road.

First out in 1hr 25mins, with Khoo Kongsi and bandit coming out last 20mins later. On On onsite - Hassan catering.IceCooLeng provided a new set of 'highway' lights which he promised to bring for every run. 'Bruise' Low Yat Foo rejoined as member.

Run: 754 Hare: Amelia Ng Venue: Sg Long Co-hare: Abraham

Santa Themed HLH4 Logo Update 04/01/08: Correspondent had sobbered up.

Only about 20+ hashers turned up for the run as some members preferred to wine, dine and dance with Seremban HHH at their D&D do.

The usual bungalow runsite was "occupied" by Kepong Hash, so we had to camp at the entrance to the construction site just before the usual runsite.

The run started on the tar road to avoid the Kepong hash paper on the right up the hill. There was a falsie for the first check on the left of the tar road, but Kelamkabut, true to his nature, managed to break this check on the trail that led from the 2nd check on the right. The 2nd check was missed altogether. The 3rd check was up the slope of the rubber plantation. Everyone expected it to be broken on the top of the hill but it turned out to be on the left near a stream.

The 4th check was across a shallow river and the track took the runners all the way to the bungalow site opposite the Sg Long Golf Club then all the way on the road pass the quarry and construction site to the runsite. The 1st runner out at about 7.20pm.

Many members complained about the long road run and the hare was iced for that. The sub-contractor "Abrahim" was also put on ice for setting a run without going up any hill, not his usual trade mark.

There was a surprise guest "Albert" who came all the way from Segambut to join us. He called a member indicating his desire to run with us and obtained directions to the runsite.

Dr Ballcracker was appointed the OC for our coming CNY run. (RG)

(Previous Post: It appears our onsite web correspondent is still recovering from the festivities of welcoming of the new year and had not sobbered to write the scribe. So there is no report of the run proper.

However, our HashFlash was around to capture for posterity the ongoings of the circle.
)

Next Run: No 755 Date: 05/01/2008 Hare: Gary Leong Venue: Sri Hanikoh (Turn into Jalan Kacau at traffic lights near Semenyih Police station. Drive about 3km along Jalan Kacau and lookout for HLH4 signs for the right turn to Sri Hanikoh)
