Run: 1057 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bukit Gasing Cohares: KenChing, Eto, Ta ada Air

Runsite was Gasing Hill near the Telekom mast with limited parking space. A few cars had to move on request of the corner house’s guard, who was in doubt of the house owner’s driving capability.

Run started at 6 pm, going up and along the temple with allowing a nice view. Paper led down the concrete to the fenced water tank and down the tarmac road. After a while the paper turned to the right into the bushes, which soon was found to be the first check.

Check was broken further down following the tarmac, finally to the picnic area and the second check, which could not be broken so easily. Some hashers checking on the far left, Thomas Woo got bored (or thirsty or tired of the rain) and sneaked out of the run to go back to the runsite for a beer.

It took the hashers quite a while to break this check to the right, leading a small path up the hill. Bandit with his allergy against hills repeatedly tried to turn back. Unfortunately the path was blocked by the following pack, so he had no choice but to move on, puffing and cursing.

Finally reaching the top it was a nice running down the hill, turning left to the main path with another check on the left, leading down to the small stream. Turning left and running a few hundred meters along the stream it was a final climb back to the runsite.

First runner out in about 1 hour.

Rain stopped and circle was held. Some announcements by Intersec and Song Lau. Hashwhip Cock Pain iced some (un-)lucky ones.

OnOn with plenty of good food at the Chinese restaurant nearby.

Run: 975 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bukit Gasing Cohare: Buaya

It was heavy rain in KL at 5pm but arriving at Jalan Gasing no rain at all and the area near the Telkom tower was dry. Good sign!

The Puchong-fraction was back, after missing some runs due to wedding dinners, making the turn-up of hashers to about 25, inclusive some Nokia guests. A few notorious latecomers (like Bandit shy of hills) and NeRDO’s (NeverRunDrinkOnly) made up the number to 30+.

OnOn was called by JPS, the trail as expected went into the bushes straight down the hill all the way to the stream. A first check was broken crossing the stream and up the hill towards the observation tower. Before reaching the tower a backcheck was broken to the right, the trail led along the fence and further to the right parallel to road at the Gasing playground.

Reaching a slope “checking” was called. A small group was back-checking and found connecting paper on a trail leading to the right. OnOn was called, the herd in front running back, only to see the paper ending after a few hundred meters with another check!
What to heck was in the hare’s mind!??

Dipstick checking forward and up after the water pond uphill, Silent Dragon and Thomas forward, other hashers went back to the previous check, Sexy Showman wandering around, maybe thinking of a cigarette break…..and everywhere around R U?...checking….R U?....checking….calls were heard.

After a while everyone had enough of the confusion. Dipstick decided to go further uphill, some others ran back to the earlier check, and Silent Dragon, Clip Clip, Thomas and myself went on forward towards the picnic site under construction, up the hill until we saw the direction to the Indian Temple, down the hill and following the stream until we hit the in-trail and made the last steep climb up to the tower.

Despite the decuf we enjoyed our DIY run about 1hour 10, just nice for a good sweat.

Circle was short, icings for the Hare’s decuf layed paper, Nokia and his Directrice, some NeRDO’s.

OnOn at Chinese restaurant nearby with good food and plenty of beer provided by the hare.

This week too, no run report. We seem to be slackening.

It was raining in Kajang but the weather was fine at the runsite - Bukit Besi. About 20 plus hashers and guests turned up for the run. Quite a number of our members were at Mount Kiara Celebration run in Selayang that evening.

The runsite was at the bungalow lots at the top of the hill. The run started on the right and took the hashers straight to the rocky side of the mountain and all the way up to the transmission station at the top of the mountain with the three checks easily broken.

From the top it was all the way down to the runsite. A straight forward run with only one climb. The front runners, Kalam Kabut and Lester ABC were out in about 50 minutes while this Scribe managed a 4th placing.

Feeling unsatisfied with the short run, both of them went in for a second round which just took them 30 minutes to complete. Three harriets did not go in for the run for fear of a strenuous climb, instead did a jog around the new houses on the left. It turned out that they took longer complete than those who went i for the run.

It was nice to see SAGOH back from Dubai for Hari Raya leave joining us for the run but due to short of running at Dubai, he turned back halfway after feeling very tired.

There were four first timer guests without hash T-shirt and the hare was iced for not providing them with hash t-shirts. The circle which was conducted by the ex-assistant ON Sec Lester ABC, finished early at 8.45pm. We then adjourned to a rstaurant at Taman Midah for the On On.

The hare compensated the short run with a sumptuous meal of prawn, snow crab, pomfret and seafoods porridge to name a few. Later on some of the hashers from the celebration run also joined in for some drinks until mid-night.

Run: 818 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bukit Gasing Co-hares: ...

Our usual reporter has promoted himself as Editor of (... coming soon ...), therefore no detailed scribe of the run. Nevertheless, it was noted that there were about 5 hash chapters running at Bukit Gasing that evening.

Due to this, HLH4 had to runsite in front of the temple, the area where numerous monkeys come out loooking for food. One of them even attempted to get a sourvenir from Warrenti's car. A picture below shows Warrenti teaching his cousin to read.

And also as a result of the many trails of the 5 chapters, our Jointmattress got cuntfused and followed a trail to the birdpark.

On On was at a restaurant near the birdpark.

A good thing our cameraman is yet to promote himself to director, so we still have pictures. He also took some snap shots of the mankeys, but only one was clear. Click On On below to view (Update 31/03/2009: Scribe report uploaded click On On).

Bukit Gasing never had it that bad. Almost all of Saturday's hash chapters congregated on the same run site that day - Rojak's, Cicakman's, Mafia's and King Kong's (us). Guess who is which chapter...So it was a 'hello, how are you?' gangs the whole late afternoon in Bukit Gasing. Luckily, 2 of the chapter shared the same co-hares and the other 2 had different ideas.

All the other 3 started at 1730hrs and with us started at 1800hrs, avoiding the 'traffic' at certain areas. The run started with the pack going downhill on the road, cutting through a small thick and slippery bush to come out on the road to Faber condos.

It was a cross over the road into some bushes again to go downhill to come to a check and broken further uphill by the same road that the pack crossed. After pasing in front of the condo, an uphill hill climb on the temple's 'back stairs' to the top and downhill towards the water tank to meet with another check. It took a while before it was broken with a back check that took the pack through the 'usual' trails towards the creek.

It was another check at the creek and broken by FROP correctly guessing the trail uphill. It was 'roller coaster' till passing some torn down houses. A straight forward steep uphill climb left some gasping for air and with a checking on top of it had them resting snuggly but was dekcuf when knowing it was a back check that had them climbed it for an extra 'stretching'.

The trail then brought all through the same old trail in Bukit Gasing's treacherous ups and downs till the entrance by the playground. The hare have not had enough just yet and decided to run in just before the exit into some bushes to shortcut home with 'some climb' that many cursed. At the end of the trail in this bushes, it was back on the road to run site but our Jointmistress had other ideas and went 'that-a-way'.

FROP were back a little over an hour and a half while the last one, Jointmistress, was back another half hour later by car.

There were some commotion in the run site - some 'natives' were making some havoc by getting 'itchy'. Monkey's Uncle had his number plate torn out, some nearly lost their undies, a black less-haired gorilla was running around looking for water, a 'where-the-dekcuf-are-you' bird was flying low, 2 bald-headed monkeys (a black and a white) rare species were seen, some noisy 'kah-tang kah tang' orang utans were there too.

Khoo Kongsi - for sharing white running papers instead of those provided by the club;
CowLin - for trying to change Jesminder's salutation ( a Mr to a Miss);
Winnie Jenny - for trying to run another round or is she trying to defect to other chapters (current trend);
Khoo Kongsi & Miaw Miaw - for not inviting the whole club to their 'private party';
Guitarman - for indirectly asking some others to wash his running shorts;
Warranti - successfully provoked some natives to tear down his car number plate;
Pengsan - with a beautiful 'pink banana' T-shirt;
Tsunami - requesting indirectly Pengsan to wash her undies and long pants;
Ricky Ular - for staring and noticing the 'movements' of No Hair's 'Elvis Pelvic';
No Hair - for doing Elvis Pelvic Parsley;
Kelam Kabut - for showing care and concern the 'correct style'.

On-On was in Kam Kee Seafood Restaurant, Petaling Garden Off Jalan Gasing....yum-yum....

Run: 745 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bandar Technology

The previous few runs were in pouring rain. But this evening with the run starting earlier at 5.00pm, it was blazing hot. So the 20 odd members who turned up enjoyed this short, sweet and well set run.

A percularity of this run was the type of trail paper used. Either, the hare worked for many different Ah Loongs (loan sharks) or he had kept these cards for a rainy day. Or maybe it was to help members who were short of cash, a quick way to get money for the ang pau for Robert Beh's dinner. But how did the hare's son's calling/business card get mixed up in this? The co-hare mentioned that they used about 2400 of these cards.

However helpful the hare was, he certainly was not helpful towards the environment as these Ah Loongs' cards were of the glossy high quality type and therefore not easily bio-degradable. These cards will be there for a long time unless the foreigners working in the factories at Bandar Tech have find a use for them.

A simple two variety 'Dim Sum' prepared onsite by the hare. A short circle before invited members got ready for Robert Beh's function.
