Rehashed 20110903 Silent Dragon

Run: 946 Hare: Silent Dragon Venue: Bukit Hatamas Cheras Cohares: Munster, ...

The paper trail went in the usual in-trail. Instead of going up down up down, the hashers were taken on a continuous climb.

Due to fallen trees blocking the well trodden path, the hare had to bash through some thick undergrowth which got the runners cursing. The first two checks were broken quite easily with Winnie Jenny taking the third.

The last check was a back check after a falsie and since the FRBs were too 'tired', they allowed Winnie Jenny to break this one too. Some of the FRBs were so exhausted, they took their rest on the hammocks strung up at level three.

After a swinging rest, Kelam Kabut chased Winnie to hit home at nearly the same time at around 7.20pm.

The only hasher wearing Song Lau's tie was given the honor of being the mystery whip and who relished the joy of 'icing' some from the small group of about 20. Beerman was also given the honor of sitting on the wet egg carton for not bringing the ice.

On On at the restaurant nearby.

Rehashed 20100220 Silent Dragon

Run: 866 Hare: Silent Dragon Venue: Mahkota Cheras Cohares: No Hair, ...

The Hare Silent Dragon

I helped set the run comment: we started at 2:30pm with the sun above our head with no clouds seen around the area. A walk on the tarmac for about 15mins before the 1st check that should be broken with a back check going uphill.

The 2nd check was at the top of the first climb, also should be broken with a back check by going up hill. It was climb and climb, we were so much in it that we missed the down path for a easier climb up but we had to really bash through some thick and thorny bushes before we finally reached the top and found not the intended trail through.

Wasted some good time and we were really sweating from head to toe and the sun was waiting for us, we were exhausted!. We finally had to back track and leaving the laid paper as the 3rd check, which should be broken with another back check to the left slope-y walk before reaching the intended track.

We finally reached the 'sand bed' flats and rested with hydrating using golden fluids. We continued after a good short rest and into the jungle canopy for some cool shade. It was downhill all the way till the flat ground orchards and the suspension bridge to set the 4th check, a back check with a falsie should be found.

It was then all the way back towards the run site by going down a small hill and climbing back up a small hill and a longer steep climb before reaching the last hill slope for the walk home by the water tank hill slopes.

Silent Dragon was exhausted as like I've never seen him like that and with Tyson and Ben (both BananaH4 members) also longing for some sitting time.

Starting the run was chaos as the agreed time should be at 5:30 BUT Banana H4 started at 5 and we at the agreed time. Their GM was screwed later by their hare. The FROP Dipstick and Warranti) were 1hr25mins and the last before 8pm (Farah, Blood Donor).

Iced:
Guitarman - multiple time for his 'non-hash t-shirt';
Reject - complained too much drinking during CNY and resoted to drink 100+;
KikiLala - gave wrong info to ice Farah for wearing her t-shirt correctly;
Guitarman - claiming there was no snake during the run, whereas a bunch of them saw one;
BumbleBee - taking sweet time to clean up after taking sweet time to change from pretty clothes;
ShowTime - just being happy.

How hot was that day? It was so hot that the caterer came late as his car was over heating and later we found it to be empty on water in the whole system! Teaman Catering - food was licin and there were beers......sat till 11:30pm before the rest adjourned to OnOnOn.

(report by No hair)

Run: 790 Hare: Leong 'Silent Dragon' Venue: Bukit Besi Co-Hares: Gary, Ballcracker, ...

The hare waiting to be OnDowed The runsite was at a construction site near Taman Desa Orkid, but some still ended at the water tank site up the hill.

At On Call, about 20 went in through the muddy construction site to the foothills. At the start of the climb, only 17 went up into the jungle. JPS, Samerican and Bandit decided to do their own run/walk around the area.

Of those who went up on the climb and run, KelamKabut, CockPain, Kiki and Colin, came out on paper at about 7.20pm. Another group came out with the HARE about half an hour later.

Then Keswinder came out saying he was the last to go in and could not catch up. At top of the hill he lost the trail, so he bashed down towards the sound of civilization below.

The Runsite One group led by Long John came out a short while later from the opposite side. The last group was ferried out by Cock Pain in his van. He volunteered for the sake of U I, who was in this last group.

It was later heard that the hare had wanted to pull the hashers down the other side of the hill towards Sg Besi and lay a long home trail. But he could not bash through the thick vegetation.

So plan B was put into operation for co-hare Gary to disconnect the down trail and lay a new home trail back to runsite.

On On onsite.

Hare: Leong Sr Venue: Bt 14, Hulu Langat
About 50 members inclusive of guests turned up on this hot and dry evening. The same runsite where younger brother Gary had set his last run. The papers took the runners on some very well trod paths and amidst falling leaves in the rubber. It was generally a road run following the same trail laid by IBU (Mother). Even the track uphill was on gravel road but one with at least a 50 degree gradient. Towards the hilltop, the trail branched off-road into thick vegetation for another short but practically a 75 degree climb to the top. It was off-road down the hill up to the base and from there it was road again for the long long home run. Some commented that it was a near 12 km run ... possible.
