Rehashed 20140614 Jessie

Run: 1091 Hare: Juicy Jessie Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares:

Run site at Sri Haneco Jalan Kacau

The hare obviously wanted to make sure that enough paper was laid to mark the trail, so again 9 ( nine) cohares were engaged in setting the run.

In-trail was along the football field, where the first check was found and quickly broken by Dipstick. The trail led into the rubber, passing a rubber tapper’s hut under construction. Further up reaching the Palm area a second check was broken to the left. From there the usual trail up all the way to almost the top of the hill, leading to the left out into the open space near a giant rock. Guitarman offered help to prevent the rock from rolling down so that myself could safely pass, thanks Guitarman!

A little bit of downhill running the next check was leading the front pack further down and broken finally uphill to the left. Back into the bushes the trail went all the way down to the construction site behind the fish ponds. Most runners familiar with the hometrail just went straight onto the tarmac road back to the runsite, only a few managed to see that the paper trail turned left and came back from the fishpond area.

Run was rated as ‘good run’, the hare provided plenty of snacks and food by onsite caterer.

Rehashed 20131228 Amelia

Run: 1067 Hare: Amelia Big Spender Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: Roger ‘BloodDonor’ and Charly’s ‘Three Angels’

As I arrived at 5:40 for the last run of the year no signboard to be seen. Later I learned that Colin ‘Cowlin’ was supposed to put up the signboard, but was ‘a bit late’. (I think the run started already, before finally the signboard was placed….)

Despite the missing signboard a quite big crowd found the run site.

On-on was called and the trail led the tarmac, passing the condo towards the football field. Suddenly no more paper. The crowd pushed forward, followed on-on calls from Dipstick, knowing the area from previous runs. Too fast…obviously it was a back-check and now all had a hard time to find the connecting paper.

Finally after 10 minutes or so paper was found at bushes to the left of the open space, leading up the hill.

From there it was a constant climbing in serpentines. Soon Thomas disappeared to the left, trying his luck with his usual shortcut-method to avoid the climb. Don’t know what happened to him, myself slowly huffin’ and puffin’ up the hill and back downhill 30 minutes later I bumped into Thomas. Obviously his shortcut was not that short.

Checks were broken already by Dipstick. Following paper I reached the open area at the new factory buildings after less than an hour and enjoyed another 5 minutes easy running back to the run site.

At 7:05 CockPain finally saw the signboard, drove by to the run site and went in to run. Unfortunately he had to turn around after 20 minutes, as the first check was not connected and no signboard pointing into the direction of the connecting paper.

Plenty of tidbits, food, drinks, laughter and chit-chatting closed HLH4’s 2013 runs.

Rehashed 20120929 Joey Kangaroo

Run: 1002 Hare: Baby Kangkaroo Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: Charlie Chickedee and his 3 'angels'

OnOn was called at about 6:00 pm and Dipstick led the pack along road at the condos to the right. A first check near the football field took some time to be broken. Paper was finally was found to the right, where a small trail led into the rubber.

After a while a second check held up the runners. While checking for the connecting paper to the left, Silent Dragon met the Hare and Cohares on their way out to set the home trail.

Second check was finally broken by Eto (she was so happy, as this was the first time she broke a check!) to the right.

The run continued through the oil palm plantation, the trail was nicely set and no hills at all to be climbed (Bandit didn’t show up, he was worried about the hill to the Broga side).

First runner out was Dipstick in less than an hour, and most of the hashers were out by 7:30 except Karu.

ChaCha turned around immediately and went back in to look out for his buddy. After another 30 minutes, Karu came out the easy way on a motorcycle and ChaCha was back another 30 minutes later.

OnOn onsite with plenty of delicious food

Rehashed 20110709 Juicy Jessie

Run: 938 Hare: Juicy Jessie Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: No Hair, Email

The Hare Juicy Left the house early to reach the runsite in time, as I expected to need some extra time due to some detours caused by the other “Walk” in KL at this particular day. As expected it wasn’t easy to pass through but finally managed to be at runsite at 5:45 pm.

Hashers were busy chitchatting the days news and finally “OnOn” was called. In-trail as usual on the left side of the fish pond. Soon the first calls “checking” could be heard, a check was placed at the trail up to the right. It turned out to be a forward check, turning sharp left into a path further up the hill. A ‘smart’ hasher went on straight forward, as he expected the paper would follow some earlier run’s setting and after almost reaching Semenyih he realized that it was not ‘advisable’ to continue and tried to catch up with the backrunners.

The area was quite hilly, followed the paper up and down. Charlie Chickadee gave some good advise for a small shortcut as hashers could be seen going down a hill and up again at the opposite side.

Another check at the left sid of a hill was broken to the right. After some further steep climbing up a hill, which made some hashers stop for a while I could hear from far some voice cursing like hell. I could swear it was Bandit, but knowing him he would never do such hills.

From there the trail descended and finally came out at the clear area behind the condos.

First runner Dipstick out at 7:25. Suddenly Bandit showed up, pretending he completed the run!

I just kept quiet and enjoyed the delicious Mee Hoon…..OnOn

Song Lau did his magic and from now on Joey will be known as 'Baby Kangaroo' while Angel should respond to being called 'Calcium'.

Soon, someone else who comes without fail but does not run may be renamed 'Get Lost'.

Rehashed20110108 Nokia

Run: 912 Hare: Nokia Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: ...

The weather was find but the turnout was small due to the Batang Kajang 888 celebration run at Broga and Ch5's 1st anniversary run in Cheras where a number of our members went there insupport.

Nokia had been missing from our runs for quite some time but turned up to set his run. The in trail started on the slip road before the fishing pond. After a short run, we turned right and went straight up the mountain.

There were 3 checks which were easily broken by the hashers. On reaching the top, the trail took the hashiers to the left and all the way down to the brick factory and passing the fish pond back to the run site at the shop houses. The first runner was out at 6.55 p.m.

It was a straight forward and simple run and Kalam Kabut as usual was not satisfied (not up to his standard) and did a 2nd round with Cock Pain & wife who arrived late.

Circle was conducted by GM (Guiter Man). The circle started with a minutes silence to pay our respect to our close friend from Taiwan, Wildman, a true hasher who passed on on after an accident on 2/1/2011. A collection box was set up to collect some donations for the late wildman's family and a total of RM920 was collected from the small crowd.

On on in Chuan Kee Restaurent, Bandar Tech where we have not been there for quite some time. With 2 tables, some Black Label and good food the crowd stayed until quite late.

Run20101009 Guitarman

Run: 899 Hare: Guitarman Venue: Sri Haneco Cohare: Kilat Thomas

The hare Guitarman About 30 hashers turned up for the run on a cloudy afternoon. OnOn was called at 6 pm sharp. The pack slowly went up towards the fishing ponds to the right, where immediately a first check was set.

It was a backcheck, broken by Kelam Kabut. The trail was laid at the “usual out-trail” at tarmac and later lead up to the right, a steady gentle slope at first. At some fork the trail went left and soon to the second check which also turned out to be a backcheck.

Broken quickly, the trail went further up the hill, a falsie to the right and followed by a steep climb uphill which pulled the pack apart. Charlie showed his gentle attitude extending his hand to pull some harriets up at difficult steep slopes. Even the Pusher was pulled this time.

Reaching almost the top and turning left, the 3rd check created some confusion. Winnie Jenny broke the forward check and moved on, like wise did the second front runner, neither waiting for the following pack nor connecting the trail. So the pack had to go checking again, not realizing the check was already broken.

Abraham and myself went checking far to the right until we finally heard OnOn and run back to the left. Now at the end of the pack, we ran into Kelam Kabut looking out for Winnie Jenny, not knowing that she had broken the check already.

Running further and later uphill at the top, the area opened up for a beautiful view down. The trial led down zigzagging the slope. After passing a small water pond Bandit came up, doing a reverse run. Him, being known for disliking hills, used the foul excuse of arriving slightly late to the runsite as a reason to walk up on the comfortable out-trail.

From there on it was an easy run all the way down trail back to the tarmac at the fishing ponds. First runner Kelam Kabut out at 7:10, last runners out about 7:30.

OnOn was on –site with Nasi Lemak, Chicken and spicy Sotong.

New boot Josephine or Joey as she prefers, was officially welcomed.

Rehashed 20100501 Ricky Ular

Run: 876 Hare: Ricky Ular Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: Abraham, Blood Donor

As Bandit drove in, he looked towards the unoccupied shoplots. Not seeing any hashmen's cars there, he drove straight on to the fishing ponds only to be greeted by a "Tiada" hand signal by Gigi Putih coming out.

Gigi Putih then saw the hare and co-hares at the corner restaurant laughing and counting the number of hashers going the wrong way. The runsite was behind the 'previously empty, now some occupied' shoplots and along the 'empty shoplots turned into swiftlets hotel' lane.

At On On call, Bandit was seen going in last but he then turned back before the fishing ponds and headed out to the main road. About 5 mins later he got off from Joachim's car. Apparently our German friend's GPS took him to the abandoned factory lots site.

Both of them then took off on the trail which led past the fishing ponds up to the foothills where torn hash paper indicated the check connection going up the hill. With Bandit gasping and panting, they went up, passing another check at a ridge.

Coming up to the ridge where the left path is usually taken by short-cutters, they could see UI struggling going up with Bruise, who was formerly known as Buford of the 'Walking Tall' fame, keeping her company. Here, Bandit had thoughts of short-cutting too, but when he saw KFC, up higher, his macho instincts must have come to the fore.

Somewhere up the hill, the back pack consisting of KFC, UI, Ah Hooi and her 1st time guest, was also thinking of turning back. But Joachim was not going to allow it, saying that they were "already at the top". His voice must have goaded them on for all decided to complete the run.

With the checks were already broken, the back pack continued up and then down all the way to the home trail coming at around 7.35pm.

On On onsite, T-man stuff.

Run: 840 Occassion: AGM Run Venue: Sri Haneco Hares: Guitarman, No Hair, Yee Mai

The hares, Guitarman Yee Mai and No Hair It was a rain cooled evening when about 50 members and a good many 'invited' guests gathered beside the fishing pond. The trail took the runners through the clearing to the usual in trail at the foothill. But instead of immediately going up, the papers took a trail on the right.

The first check still at the foothill was broken further along the path on the right. This was where some SCBs decided to go up the hill thinking that the trail would swing back on the hilltop. But the trail went pass the vegetable and around the back of the hill.

From the back it was a slow climb to the top. From the top, the papers led down all the way back to the vegetable patch and back to home on the in-trail.

The FRB was out within the hour and the back pack half an hour later. Five smart alec members and a dog in avoiding the only climb of the run, ended elsewhere and returned by cab around 8.30pm.

The circle was long - it was the Annual General Meeting - so must be long even though the most talking was done the 'Erection Commissioner'. The elections was conducted by SMC of Kajang Hash and assisted by the GMs and reps of Kajang H3, Cheras H4, Mount Kiara H4 and others.

The hare JPS A very rare occassion when there were more Holes (15) to Poles when the run started. Some of our members had gone for the Danau Toba Any Run which was a 'Poles Only' event.

Even before one could finish saying 'Guns n Roses', the first check was reached just before the ponds. A back check to the usual out trail which gave all hashers a good warm-up under canopy.

The second check was just before the climb and from then on, the trial kept going up all the way to the top. It was a near 1hr uphill hike for the back pack.

From the top, the trail led all the way down and home with the checks being broken quite fast.

Run: 826 Hare: Bastian Guitarman Venue: Sri Haneco Cohares: Kiki, Mr Kilat

The Hare Guitarman The beerman called and asked if he got the run site correct as there were no familiar cars on run site except a new Chevy sedan with run papers, that was around 1730hrs.

Upon reaching the run site, many poured in with few car loads of members and guests. Good show up by members and guests, swelling to about 50-60.

Run started on time with the usual walk in and talking as there was a group from MambauH4 who were no strangers and the 'updates' on each other - "hey, macam sudah gemok sikit!", "macam mana mau slim, lari sikit-sikit, makan banyak banyak, minum lagi banyak!", "wah, lari pun mau hisap rokok, kah?", "taraklah, kasi habis dulu nanti buanglah."

The lot was led to the first check to the left after a 5mins walk and was broken by the experienced runners. Some caught sight of a snake while crossing the small creek with shrieks and eeeeeees! The trail then led everyone towards the direction of the abandon factory lots area with a few good climbs to reach the cleared hill for the 3rd check, after the easily broken second check.

It was an uphill on the rubber estate hill terraces one after the other which brought the pack to another slippery steep climb which some opted to shortcut without climbing as they expected the trail to come towards the foothill again.

The front pack was treated to some running terrain for a short 5mins before going uphill again towards the right side of the fishing ponds but turned towards the usual home trail through the palm oil estate.

A good run out for about 10mins or more provided some good sweat for the front runner who finished the run on the hour. The back pack was out about an hour later.

Finger food was served and the famous wild boar curry from Putrajaya by On-the-Way was snapped within minutes!

First time guest - Jeanie from PH3 was 'roasted' by the crowd and welcomed warmly.

Run: 812 Occassion: CNY / Chap Goh Mei Venue: Sri Haneco Sub-Cons: Abraham, RatTail

Chap Goh Mei Run Tee - front More than 60 members and guests turned up for the Golden Bull Run and celebrate Chap Goh Mei the HLH4 way. Runsite was within the serene settings of the fishing ponds. Though the owner allowed us the use of the area, he did not think it appropriate for maidens to throw oranges into the ponds.

It was a simple and straight forward run which was up and down the usual hill. The FRBs were out in about 50mins, while the back pack came out about half an hour later.

CNY RUN Tee - back The circle took sometime due to the numerous icings and the handing out of ang pau to all present. The OC of the celebrations was rewarded on ice for a fine job. Run: 764 Scheduled Hare: Charlie Chickadee Venue: Sri Haneco SubCons: Kiki, Abrahim

Vote for Hulu Langat H4 It was the day of the country's 12th General Elections. Some members may have volunteered as Polling/Counting Agents, so they could not make it. Some may have just stayed home out of fear. While some may have been having erections, so they too could not make it.The handful waiting for ON ON

So only about 23 members went in for the run at this 'fast becoming popular' runsite. The paper led through the fishing ponds to the trail on the right. Before the hashers could get a good warm-up, the 1st check was reached. After a false call, it was broken up front for a gentle climb. Soon after, along the way, the 2nd check Going in for the run which was also broken quickly.

Then came the tiring climb and reaching a ridge, the papers led right and to the 3rd check. Straight up front was a falsie. Then another OnCall was heard, back up the hill. Going halfway up, it turned out to be another falsie. Coming down for a back check, On On was heard. The check was broken by the back pack who incidently was trying to SCB.
the last descend by KFC, Jessie and Emay

The trail led along the ridge and then up again for a short climb to the 4th check. This was soon broken on the slope down. A last check along the way and back home. Election talk after the run
