Run: 895 Hare: Khoo Kongsi Venue: Bukit Besi Cohares: ..
This week too, no run report. We seem to be slackening.
(Updated 17/09/2010)
It was raining in Kajang but the weather was fine at the runsite - Bukit Besi. About 20 plus hashers and guests turned up for the run. Quite a number of our members were at Mount Kiara Celebration run in Selayang that evening.
The runsite was at the bungalow lots at the top of the hill. The run started on the right and took the hashers straight to the rocky side of the mountain and all the way up to the transmission station at the top of the mountain with the three checks easily broken.
From the top it was all the way down to the runsite. A straight forward run with only one climb. The front runners, Kalam Kabut and Lester ABC were out in about 50 minutes while this Scribe managed a 4th placing.
Feeling unsatisfied with the short run, both of them went in for a second round which just took them 30 minutes to complete. Three harriets did not go in for the run for fear of a strenuous climb, instead did a jog around the new houses on the left. It turned out that they took longer complete than those who went i for the run.
It was nice to see SAGOH back from Dubai for Hari Raya leave joining us for the run but due to short of running at Dubai, he turned back halfway after feeling very tired.
There were four first timer guests without hash T-shirt and the hare was iced for not providing them with hash t-shirts. The circle which was conducted by the ex-assistant ON Sec Lester ABC, finished early at 8.45pm. We then adjourned to a rstaurant at Taman Midah for the On On.
The hare compensated the short run with a sumptuous meal of prawn, snow crab, pomfret and seafoods porridge to name a few. Later on some of the hashers from the celebration run also joined in for some drinks until mid-night.

Run: 838 Hare: Pengsan Venue: Bukit Besi Cohares: ...
The runsite by the bungalows was windy and nice which would be for a limited time before the occupants move in. Not many members were around for this run as some had 'Sudahbayar' trip to the PanIndo Hash.
The usual trail up by the well trodden path, which this neighbourhood residents use, till the top to meet the first check. As usual it was a back check to the right to get on to the trail going down hill to the small ‘waterfall’.
A different story was unfolding that day as the second check was broken with the trail that brought us to the quarry and towards Taman Orkid. Some good running in between the trails were interesting and had the FROPs screwed on the 3rd check just before the road leading to the tower.
It was a good run on that road till the station on top. Then, it was all the way down from the top through the newly bulldozed area but the hare had 'some fish left' and left the last check which was easily picked up.
A few hellos with the Indonesians around here who were all well dressed for their romp in the city and doggie Hash barking madly due to the sweet perfumed air. It was like a 'Al-Wadi' slide view when going down the storm drain till the 'big steps' which had Warranti aching from the knees.
The FROPs took 1hr10mins to finish the run and ChaCha was the last to come in after arriving late. A total of 11 finished the run, 3 SCBed, 4 'came, saw, sat, waited and drank'.
OnOn was on site with specially delivered claypot rice by an Animale member who has his shop nearby - chicken/salted fish & black pepper. Drinks were plenty.

Run: 814 Hare: Susie Shopping Queen Venue: Bukit Besi Alam Damai Co-hares: Silent Dragon, Gary
About 35 members and guests managed to get to the runsite after making some preventable U-turns. Some were luckier to spot the hare putting up the signs just a little before 6pm.

The in-trail was a 10 min walk along the foot of the hill before the near vertical climb to the trail on the hill. As expected, the papers took the hashers right up to the tower. The long climb up resulted in the FRBs leaving the back pack far behind.

A circular check near the tower and aided by some cunt-fusing paper, allowed the back pack to be ahead of the FRBs on the downward stretch. But the treacherous down trail with a ravine crossing, a small uphill and a long U-turn to runsite allowed the FRBs to regain their lead. The first runner was out in about 1hr 45mins while the last out at 8.30pm.
On On onsite - Cock Pain catering.

Run: 790 Hare: Leong 'Silent Dragon' Venue: Bukit Besi Co-Hares: Gary, Ballcracker, ...
The runsite was at a construction site near Taman Desa Orkid, but some still ended at the water tank site up the hill.
At On Call, about 20 went in through the muddy construction site to the foothills. At the start of the climb, only 17 went up into the jungle. JPS, Samerican and Bandit decided to do their own run/walk around the area.
Of those who went up on the climb and run, KelamKabut, CockPain, Kiki and Colin, came out on paper at about 7.20pm. Another group came out with the HARE about half an hour later.
Then Keswinder came out saying he was the last to go in and could not catch up. At top of the hill he lost the trail, so he bashed down towards the sound of civilization below.
One group led by Long John came out a short while later from the opposite side. The last group was ferried out by Cock Pain in his van. He volunteered for the sake of U I, who was in this last group.
It was later heard that the hare had wanted to pull the hashers down the other side of the hill towards Sg Besi and lay a long home trail. But he could not bash through the thick vegetation.
So plan B was put into operation for co-hare Gary to disconnect the down trail and lay a new home trail back to runsite.
On On onsite.

About 35 members managed to come up the road leading to the Alam Damai Water tank despite complaints of poor signage and vague directions.
Most knew it was going to be a one hill trail on this very hot afternoon at this 1st time runsite for HLH4. So nearly everyone made it up the Iron Hill leaving just Bumble Bee to worry if her car will slip down the slope.
There wasn't the usuall leisurely walk warm up as the papers led immediately up the rocky outcrop from the runsite. The first check on the top was broken on the right which led around on a loop and then instead of going up to the tower, the trail went down and down.
At the foot of the hill, the papers led left before the cruelling climb right up to the tower. The slope was near 70 degrees at certain sections. The papers then led around the tower fencing to the other side.
From the tower, the trail then led down and up and down and passed through a shiggy before coming down at the construction site for the ONLY RUN of the run and which was about 100 metres on metal road. From the road it led up and back to the runsite.
FRBs Abrahim and Kiki were out in about 1hr 20 mins. Bandit limped out last with a bleeding knee at about 8pm.
On On onsite - bicycleman stuff.
