Rehashed 20100206 Matahari

Run: 864 Hare: Matahari Venue: Dengkil Cohares: ...

The hare Matahari It was heard that it was a good run but slightly messy with much zig-zagging on the front section of the trail. Second half was good as the co-hares avoided going on the tarmac and soon had the runners whizzing home.

Dipstick was not feeling well, as he got some viral infection......feverish...??? Ice cooLeng had a viral infection too, often-ous late-eus come-ous, which had spread around and was caught by Matahari (the hare of the day) No Hair, Email, Gigi Putih and Maria.

Other than these few viral affairs, the long spread - lazi-nuss to come-us for run-nus was so often passed on except for those who were immune to the virus. Current few who were carrying this virus - Bandit, Henny, Abraham, Rat Tail, Aru, AhLong Singh, Water Bai, PJK, U-I, Rocky, Seow Hooi.

There are also some other viruses around - shortus cuttus (Karu - long time infected and recently passed some to Thuksudi No Wings), bluemooning fever (comes once a while BumbleBee, Fong siew, HongKong Singh, KFC, Dr Ballcracker), some were catching these viruses on and off too.

So, alas the FROP was out in 1hr30mins for a shorter than Deepavali Run.

Iced:
Ular - taking sweet time to clean up;
JPS - "halo? alo? hello?";
Munster - 'don't know how to come to Dengkil';
Juicy - forgot to bring running shoes;
Ular (again) - try to help Juicy by lending her 1 shoe!;
Gary & Ice cooLeng - hoarding seats to put up their legs;
Dipstick - 'director'

Rehashed 20100130 Winnie Jenny

Run: 863 Hare: Winnie Jenny Venue: Asbadi Quarry Cohares: Kelam Kabut, ...

The Hare Winnie Jenny (no report in ... yet updated: 17/02/2010)

About 20+ hashers turned out for the run at Asbadi Quarry, Mantin (same runsite at Fong Siew's run).

The run started by the side of the fish pond restaurant going up the hill. The first check was almost 3/4 up the hill and it took some time for the hashiers to break. Thaksudi No Wing broke the check which was on the left side at the bottom of the hill.

The run took the hashers on a small climb toward the quarry. Towards the 2nd check, Dipstick found No Wing lying by the side of a small stream. He told Dipstick that he was tired and from there he took a shortcut back. He was iced for not finishing the run.

The run took the hashers to another stiff climb toward the high tension cable tower at the top of the mountain. From here we could see Gaya Park on the other side of the mountain. It is about 1500 feet high. From the tower, another short climb and it was all the way down to the native settlement.

On the way down, the FROPs met Ballcreaker running up towards them. Apparently, after the first check with the help of his GPS, he ended up at the end of the run and ended doing a reverse run. From the native settlement it was all the way home to the runsite.

Rehashed 20100123 Bruise

Run: 862 Virgin (old) Hare: Bruise Lee Low Yat Foo Venue: Shooting Range Sg Jelok Cohare: Lester ABC

 The hare Bruise Driving in to the runsite, in addition to some big HLH4 signs, there were also signs of Kajang H3. At the runsite, a sign at the back of the co-hare's car read, "HLH4 PARKING". Just 20 metres up, the Kajang H3 was runsited.

Small turnout Many of our members had gone for the Damansara H3' 25 Any Run do. At 6 pm, the 13 or so members waited a while for the other chapter to go in first before going in. The trail markers of both chapters led the hashers on the same path on the left.

The papers led on for the single file walk up on the concrete slabs. Reaching the hut at the durians, it led right across the stream and up and hit the right path to the first check.

It was a circular. "R U", "R U". "Checking". Then after some time when even the back pack had joined in the fray, "Kajang On Back, Kajang On Back". HLH4 stayed back to continue checking when in fact, No Wing had aready broken the back check some half a km away.

Abrahamn, Rat Tail and Blood Donor followed. At the 2nd check, No Wing was not attracted to another climb, so he turned back and Blood Donor followed. They met up with the HLH4 back pack.

Guest, Moon, enticed Khoo Kongsi to follow through on paper while the rest decided it was enough as it was already 7pm and it had started to rain. So only four completed this unofficial joint run. The FROP was out around 7.45pm with Khoo and partner coming out about half an hour later.

On On onsite with Lester's chicken curry, lobster chicken feet and at least something for No Wing, taufu and vege.

Rehashed 20100116 Ballcracker

Run: 861 Hare: Ballcracker Venue: Pangsun Cohares: Ballcracker's two juniors

Hare Ballcracker On Down This time the runsite was kacang putih lah when comes to watching out for HLH4 as there are myriad of other signboards along Jalan Hulu Langat 28km stretch.

Run started with a slow incline up to the dilapidated Pangsoon Resort ala Malaysian 5star longhouse. A backcheck confusion marred the first check with late comers joining in the 15 minute fray.

GM King Kong and Long John searched in different directions. Yours truly went down to the waterfall and we had Michael with our Hash dog enjoying the cool evening sky on the boulder.

Suggestion from guest Dennis, who acted as a voluntary sweeper, that we staple the trail papers on the hanging leaves to prevent the locals from diverting the trail.

With first check down the bamboo undergrowth and along a broken trail with fallen tree trunks, we hit second check down at the picturesque lake edge.....but alas FROP were in for another back check which was easily broken by Kelam Kabut. Caught on this was Lester ABC and Cat while Blood donor and shopping queen tagged along.

Running by the lake we noticed JPS asking Charlie and Amelia to post for photos but to their dismay there was no camera on the run.

Heavenly seat for:
Kelam Kabut - Kay Poh Chee (telling GM what to do)
Wet Dream (guest) - cross leg to protect his balls
Moon aka Yuet Liang (2 time guest) - forgot to bring t-shirt.
Ricky Ular - bipolar disorder singing.
Shopping Queen - M.I.H missing in hash.
On the way - guest no t-shirt.

Interhash news was on next week's Damansara H3's celebration run and for those who have not paid up, please do so on 23 Jan.

Those going to Lombok to prepare payment to Cowlin and list of damages to come out in a couple of week time. On Cash, Silent Dragon honoured Kilat for the overly prompt payment.

Food prepared by GM and Bulldozer with fish, mutton, chicken curry and vege to down with.

Rehashed 20100109 Joachim

Run: 860 Virgin Hare: Joachim Venue: Eco Village Hulu Langat Cohares: Bandit, Ballcracker

The Hare Joachim The location of this runsite was published at our website. It was also published in our newsletter. It was also announced at the last two runs. Yet a few ended up at the Agro Tech site. Why, How? "someone said Chong Kok man's last run runsite."

Then, many know that runs in Hulu Langat areas would entail some climbing. They also have knowledge of the 'suckers' around here. Hence a few members will turn up late to escape the full run.

So at 6pm, there were only 4 members ready and they went in without waiting. Slowly some others trickled in. Charlie Chickadee was the last to try to 'make an effort to go in for the run' just as the FROP was cumming out at 7.07pm. The last two out had some 4 wheels help.

The run was a 3 'very easy' checks run with a very very long home trail.

About 23 members and a guest attempted the run, to at least smell the grass. 10, including the guest, Cat, completed the run. But there were about 35 at the circle and On On catered by Teaman.

Rehashed 20100102 Committee Run

Run: 859 Occassion: Cum-mittee Run Venue: Beranang Industrial Estate Hares: Song Lau, Bulldozer, No Hair

Design on back of t-shirt No hair went in to assist Song Lau and Bulldozer to set the run. Song Lau and Bulldozer took the lead with usual Intrail path and we turned right at the high tension poles.

Going on the small hill and down, we crossed the lake to climb another small hill. after going down, we reached a laterite road and followed the right side for less than 400m.

We used a left side bushy path to get on to a higher hill and later going up and down on another hill. We reached back to the oil palm estate’s offtrack to head south and then on the east with a hill climb to another offtrack to head as home trail.

While laying the home trail, we hid behind the bushes and looked at the Intrail as the run started. We enjoyed watching the ‘antiques’ as the pack crossed the lake with many funny scenes.

Run stories: 3rd check was hard and some were encouraged to turn back by Dipstick who led them at around 6:50pm from the 'jungle'; The front runners carried on and found the OnPaper but the turnbackers were too far already.

A small pack somehow or rather skipped on the trail from 3rd check to the 4th by doing their 'thing'. The 4th and 5th checks were broken with only a few runners making it. Chickadee sensed some pain on his ankle and went his own way and called for rescue, to be picked up on the main road.

FROP 1hr40mins. Cha Cha got back last at about 9:30pm via the main road as he was very ‘familiar’ with the area.

New Year wishes were addressed during the circle.

Iced:
Ular - KPC;
Bulldozer - insulted the box;
JPS + Silent Dragon - started beer before the 1st runner;
Rat Tail - the 'senior' who drank the most;
Karu - the 'junior' who drank the most;
Henny - the lady who drank the most;
Pengsan - drank the least when wife's around;
Beerman presented the drinking tally;
Kelam Kabut + Abraham - forgot to mark out;
Maria - 'ghost' member;

Rehashed 20091226 Kiki

Run: 858 Hare: Kiki Venue: Bandar Technology Kajang Cohares: ..

(reports and or pix not in yet. End of year mah, give chance-lah. Update 31/12/2009: report and pix in now)(Pssst ..., Christmas run pix below)

The hare Kiki The ‘No Hair Escort Service’ was called and another running day became a ‘no sweat’ walking day. The run was fairly good though short with a few good run around the hilly terrains in the oil palm estate and by the highway.

A loop had the pack headed the ‘cow ranch’ and passing it to just turn right to get to the front of the ‘whore’. We were on the offtracks that was familiar to everyone for a little while and a short cut through some long forgotten offtracks to hit back to the in trail in the oil palm estate.

We got back to the run site at 7:25pm while the runners took an hour plus a little.

Iced:

Kiki – took a capati and served it to bribe a high ranking hashman;
JPS – accepted the bribe;
Bulldozer – was blamed for the clearcuts ready for developments, depleting the running areas;
Ular – pant worn back to front & late in assuming Bard duties;
LJS – was supposed to tell a joke but gave a riddle;
Rat Tail – took a pee that was long and was witnessed by the crowd;
Ice Cooleng – the Bard-In-Training not wearing the attire properly;
Gigi Putih – telling GM what to do, bad ‘2-5’;
Dipstick – the last director of the year;
Bulldozer – ‘robbing off’ the rest of the members’ plans for a good Christmas gathering during the PD trip;
CowLin – misleading SMS calling members to a pre-Christmas gathering by getting some ‘chicks’ but instead brought some ‘Viagra Infused Chicken’;
Henny – brought a jolly friend for a Christmas Day gathering that made a mess while making ‘clam chowder’;
Beerman – was so carried off with the ‘happenings’ that he uttered “If I win – tomorrow’s a holiday. But if I loose – DARN! I have to work tomorrow!”

Some wise words from:

GM – be a ‘2-5’ but do not tell the box what to do; must not pee too long while he’s (GM) on the box; don’t walk around with your fly open, make yourself available for the Committee Run next week.
OnCash – "better pay up your subs or no beers will be served to you", he’ll be preparing a ‘chow kha’ (bad debt person in hokkien) list for everyone’s attention.
InterHashSec – a few runs coming up, look for him if you are interested for the invites but must bring along $$$.
Advisor #1 – Ipoh’s latest new chapter invite for a run on 27/2/2010, ‘the food is ready! GM first, followed by me!’

Special Mentions:

1) Thank you GM for standing more than 1½ hour frying the tasty marinated chicken for the hungry lot.
2) Ice Cooleng for doing a good job as a stand in Bard.
3) Bulldozer for bringing along the tasty mutton curry.
4) Those paid up the subs up to date and beyond.
5) Those registered for the overseas’ run BUT have yet to pay up.

Rehashed 20091219 Christmas

Run: 857 Occassion: Christmas Run Venue: Port Dickson Hares: Guitarman, Long John

The hosts honoring the advisor A very good many managed to find their way to PD well before the run.

Of course there will be some who, no matter how much and how detailed the directions that were given, will end up somewhere else.

And then they will keep calling the hare or the run organisers and their next friends for directions.

Rocky wearing the freebie on the run The run organisers had planned to give a wind cheater/rain coat and, as is the usual case in a hash, there will be an opportunity to use the freebie the soonest possible.

It rained the whole morning and afternoon at PD. So the OC decided to issue the freebie BEFORE the run.

Here is Rocky parading the freebie on the run. The rain stopped just before the run started.

The back pack on the way in on the runSome members in their beach wear The organisers said it will be a beach run. The pix on left shows the back pack on the run heading towards the beach at the first check.

The pix on right shows some who decided on a different wardrobe for this run. They said this was beach wear prompting someone to wonder "what happened to the bikini or at least the one-piece swimsuit?".

The 2nd check was along the beach. Here, Kelam Kabut swam out to sea trying to break the check. Since he could not break it out in the open sea, he decided to dry himself on a swing.

the hashers going through the muddy constuction site The trail then led off from the beach and headed towards the green canopies. "AH", many would have thought that they were finally going get some trails in the jungle.

How they were mistaken, cos, the 3rd check was broken at the construction site for a muddy turn back trail.

The home trail along the main road The papers then led towards the main coastal road for a somewhat slightly dangerous run along the main road.

Kelam Kabut was FRB in 55 mins while the back pack who managed to shortcut way before the turn was out a short while later.

The fat guy in a red suit made an appearance at the circle to give out gifts to all present.

GM with the roast turkey On On, just after the gift exchange at the Batu Pahat bungalow, was BBQ sponsored by some great guys from Dengkil. It was the Christmas season and off course, there was the turkey, another great gesture by a sponsor.

The organisers said that the success was due to all who contributed in one way or another. Many thanks to all members and sponsors.

The co-OC was so happy with the support and success that he wants to throw another party. Yes our JM, JPS, invites all members to his house on Christmas day. Please try to get to JPS house around 7-7.30pm. He will be expecting all members.

(ps. The webmaster informs that he will be pissed over the year end holidays, so the pix of the Christmas run will only be up when he gets sober. So lets hope it will be soon. We will need to check back here for updates on the pix)
